Really great tour, learned a lot about the city despite living here for over 25 years. James was the best, super engaging and had some really awesome stories. Highly recommend to everyone, whether you’re a local or visiting from out of town.

Terrific history, thoughtfully told. Great for visitors and Chicago natives alike. James is an engaging storyteller (even when the el is going by!) and answered all of our questions. The 2 hours flew by. Perfect for spooky season!

James was an incredible tour guide! He was a wealth of information regarding Chicago’s history and gave a great peek into some of Chicago haunts. My husband and I learned so much about the Chicago World’s Fair and Chicago Fire. Walking through downtown Chicago at night was stunning!

This tour was one of the best experiences we had in Chicago. James was an excellent storyteller who tied in the perfect amount of history, suspense, and levity. It was such a great way to see Chicago, too! We chose this tour over the others because we wanted one that focused on the ghosts/folklore of Chicago without the typical gangster/mob stuff, and it exceeded our expectations! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Chicago's darker history or ghost stories.

Our tour guide, James, was amazing! We loved every minute of the tour. James had a way of really drawing you into the moments he was describing and really took us back into the history with his delivery. We also got to experience parts of the city we never noticed before.

This was my husband's first trip to Chicago and we knew we wanted to hit all the major sites. This was a last minute booking for us - we figured it was a good way to do something a little less touristy. We loved it! Mike was a great guide and we got some really fun creepy and scandalous history. The group size was not too big, even close to Halloween.
