We were pleasantly surprised by this shore dive. There was lots to see at the Chankanaab Park and they are doing a good job with coral restoration. We dove with MJ's Aquatic Scuba Diving & Snorkel, but there are several dive/snorkel companies on site. The guide took our family of 4 PADI divers to 26' and we saw barracuda, arrow crab, lobsters, moray eel, a couple of statues, a ray, a variety of fish and corals, and passed through a cave. It was nice to have a small group. Afterwards, we stayed on the sandy area where they provide lounge chairs/umbrellas and ordered food. My daughter snorkeled a bit. There was other stuff to see and do but we headed back to our ship at Puerto Langosta which was about 30 min and $25 cab ride. My only suggestion would be better communication about how to get from the ship to Chankanaab. I didn't realize there were 2 ports in Cozumel and we were farther away than I thought we'd be. We scrambled a little the morning of the dive to get there on time. Also, sunscreen (even reef safe) is not allowed in the water.

A wonderful experience with knowledge guides; Daniel was great! Our only disappointment was the size of the group. We had the maximum amount of 10 people with 2 instructors. I would say ideally, each group should only have about 4/5 people max. Would make the experience more magical, as we saw more people than fish during the activity.

Everything was smooth! I did not realize it was inside a Marine park that gave access to scuba, snorkeling, and a Mayan ruin section! The guide (Leo) made the dive a cool experience! We saw some eels, puffer fish, spiny lobsters, stingrays and several coral heads. We also went through this cool cave and stopped in front of a big Jesus and Mary statue. The depths weren’t that deep (30 ft) but it was a good diving experience. Afterwards they offered a free drink (margarita) from the bar and some tequila tastings. They also gave you access to beach loungers and umbrellas (all of this is apart of your package). Cool place to hang for the day!

Highly recommend this excursion. Charlie, our guide, was incredibly patient and the instructions were excellent. Three of the 4 us had never scuba dived before, and we all felt very comfortable and enjoyed the experience immensely. The Chankanaab Park is beautiful and was not crowded at all. The margaritas afterwards were delicious.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They describe exactly what will you do during your dive and all the extras after your dive. We enjoy relaxing by the beach with a nice margaritas 🍹

Very beautiful experience! I could not do the dive as without just 5 min of preparation in the water and then get off right away! This one is for people with more breathing control!! Despite this my sister did the full dive!

Daniel did an incredible job as an instructor and William took great photos of us. I have never Suba dived before but I felt safe with my instructor and went through the whole course without issue. The views were incredible and the experience even more so! I would come back to do it again, highly recommend it!
