• Wasted our precious vacation time.

  9 of us from various countries waited at Exit D of the Prince Edward station in Mongkok, Hong Kong. The tour guide never showed up and after contacting Viator or the tour company via Viator chat, they informed me that the tour guide had an "incident" that morning and had to cancel. I suspect (along with the 8 other folks who booked via other apps and websites) that the tour guide did not want to come out due to weather forecasts predicting thunderstorms. Turns out, there was only light rain for about 10 minutes that morning from 11:30am to 11:40am when the tour was supposed to start from 11am to 2pm. It was a hassle getting refunded for the canceled tour, and losing out on previous time while vacationing in Hong Kong.

  Tour was really informative and our guide Isac was knowledgeable, so our questions were all answered. I would recommend the tour to anyone interested in learning more about the housing situation in Hong Kong.

  Amazing walking tour with Isaac (Kwan Chan - hope I got it right). He has a pleasant and friendly demeanour which made it easy for the group to mingle and ask questions. The walk itself was enjoyable and Isaac shared good info. I highly recommend this tour

• Great non-standard tour

  This is a great non-touristy experience in Hong Kong. Our guide, Michael, was really well informed on the housing difficulties facing lower socioeconomic Hong Kong residents. The subdivided home/cage home was eye opening. The tour was well organized and interesting from start to finish. If you want a thinking person’s tour, this is the tour for you.

  Grace was our tour guide and she did a great job connecting us with better understanding the housing crisis in Hong Kong. The tour started at ended on time, and was excellent. It was great to see an actual subdivided unit, with the cage house, and the apartment that had the low ceilings, shower, toilet, and ac unit. The tour was a little long for kids. My kids started to get antsy around the hour and 45 minute mark. The overall excellent experience. I think one way to save time, would be to omit the exercise involving attendees to volunteer housing cost in there country of origin. That exercise could’ve been streamlined to a five minute introduction to attendees. (one attendee said that she was from Nebraska and the average income was $500,000 USD per year. That left me scratching my head.)
