We’ll kick things off at the legendary Doughnut Vault, tucked beside the historic Merchandise Mart, where you’ll enjoy one of Chicago’s most beloved treats. From there, we’ll stroll across the Chicago River, taking in picture-perfect skyline views before heading to a local artisan donut shop crafting fresh, handmade creations daily. As we wind our way through downtown, we’ll make our way toward Michigan Avenue, home to two iconic stops. First, indulge in a California-style donut shop bursting with flavors and flair, followed by a visit to Do-Rite Donuts, famous for their creative combinations, seasonal specials, and perfectly glazed classics. A delicious stop on the tour. We'll enjoy some tasty donuts at each stop on the tour. (This stop is only on our Sunday tour).
The Loop
The Underground Donut Tour takes place over two hours. We'll visit four of the best donut stores in the city. All of them are located in the Chicago Loop area and we'll try a few donuts from each location. Donuts are included in the cost of the tour. You'll also have the option to purchase additional donuts if you wish.

5.00We had a great time touring Chicago with our guide, Nick. He was personable and knowledgeable, and kept the conversation interesting for the whole family (mom + 3 kids ages 12, 10 and 7). It was legit FREEZING the morning of our tour with windchill -20 or so, but Nick knew plenty of places to take a break and warm up before venturing back into the cold. The donuts were amazing - each of the four of us had a different favorite - and the variety was impressive. My main advice is to eat 1/4 of each donut at the most - you will run out of room!! Thanks again to Underground for a fun experience with the kids.

Our guide was super friendly and made everything easy to follow. It never felt rushed and was a great way to spend a few hours exploring and eating great donuts.
