5.00What a fantastic experience! I had teatime in a calm, private lounge on the top floor of a building with a beautiful view of the Akasaka Estate. It was so relaxing to gaze out at the gardens and greenery of the Imperial Residence. The vibe was surprisingly casual and not stiff at all. There was this really enjoyable contrast of discussing politics—usually such a formal topic—in a comfortable, everyday setting. It truly felt like a friendly "let's talk together" atmosphere. Leaving the venue afterward, with the Akasaka Estate right there, was a great final reminder of what a unique place we had just been in. Honestly, I was expecting it to be a bit formal, but it turned out to be a very friendly and approachable event. I would love to join again for a different theme if I get the chance!
