Fantastic! Got lucky and stumbled across this bar after visiting the nearby Shrine. They speak perfect English and offer short and longer/more educational tastings of Japanese wines!!! As a wine lover, I had been looking for exactly this type of wine bar. They opened two months ago!

I love wine and have spent a lot of time studying it, so I tend to be quite selective about tastings. That said, this experience felt genuinely well considered from start to finish. The wines were not chosen just to impress, but to tell a story. I appreciated how the selection highlighted the diversity of Japanese wine without trying to force comparisons with Europe. Lately, I’ve been enjoying Alsace wines at home, but this tasting reminded me why Japanese wine feels so closely connected to everyday life here. What stood out most was the tone of the experience. It was informative, but never stiff; elegant, but not formal. There was space to ask questions, reflect, and simply enjoy the wines. It felt personal and honest—like being guided by someone who truly cares about Japanese wine and wants others to understand it properly. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is genuinely curious, whether you’re new to Japanese wine or already deeply interested.

Went in for a Japanese Wine Experience session which lasted about an hour... they walked through a well-prepped presentation with slides on the history, terroir, techniques unique to Japanese wine making --- while drinking 5 glasses and some accompanying treats. Very professional. Totally a new experience, as I had no clue wine was a thing here. The interior was very modern and some people popped in and just sat for a few random glasses as well. quick walk from the shinjuku side of Meiji shrine.

I usually drink French, Italian, or California’s wines, and I’d always heard from friends that Japanese wine wasn’t very good. This experience completely changed that impression. The wines here are very different from French styles, but genuinely enjoyable in their own way. It felt calm, well curated, and not touristy at all. I’ve never seen Japanese wine abroad, so being able to try such a thoughtful selection in Tokyo felt like a rare and valuable experience.

Discovered this place while walking around Shinjuku and I spontaneously booked a tasting and this was probably my best experience while touring Tokyo! I discovered Japanese wine which I never thought could be this good! I highly recommend doing it!

Such a unique & unforgettable experience! 🤩 Did the Japanese wine tasting on a solo trip to Tokyo and stumbled upon this cozy wine atelier. I was greeted by the charming and very knowledgeable staff, the atmosphere is very homey. First time trying Japanese wine (such unique flavours! 😍) and the sommeliers taught me about Japanese wine production and grapes specific to Japan. Would recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo, I loved the experience and the wine 🍷 Kampai ✨ 🥂
