I booked this trip not realizing that there were different types of Karen tribes....if you are wanting to visit the Long Neck Tribe this is NOT the trip to go on. You will visit the hill tribe which was not very Interesting to see at all. We saw three little old ladies weaving and walked over to the rice fields where you can buy a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, it was not very Interesting at all. Bring a light jacket or sweater for when you go to the highest point in Thailand. It is a bit chilly due to the altitude. The driver was not the best driver. If you are in a hurry to get somewhere then he was great but he was driving extremely fast up and down the mountain on winding roads. During lunch we were crammed into two tables although there were three tables connected. The tour left me feeling like I didn't get what I was hoping to see in Chiang Mai.

This tour was largely spent at the national park outside. The waterfalls were beautiful and the village visit was interesting, however, since it rained the whole day we did not get to see the Twin Pagodas or the view from the top as in the picture. The tour stopped at the Twin Pagodas but it was so foggy and everyone was so cold by then that nobody got out of the van. This was disappointing. Do not do this tour during the rainy season--better to do this during good weather.
