We had a wonderful day at the national park. Our driver picked us up from our hotel in Chiang Mai and we had a two hour drive to the top of the mountain. After a brief stop at the top (to say you have been to the peak) we went to the pergola’s. They and the gardens around them are beautiful, the views stunning, take time to appreciate your surroundings. After a brief stop at the hill tribes market, which is worth the stop for local produce, we started our trek. We met and paid for a guide to take us part way down the mountain. This is a fabulous walk passing many waterfalls, paddy field, plantation’s and all sorts of nature. We were lucky to see a snake. The walk ended with coffee freshly ground by some of. Hill tribes. Delicious. Absolutely loved our day, the weather was good. The park is well run and looked after. My tip would be to take some smaller notes with you to pay the nominal fees, purchases from the market and tips.

Tour guide Ize did a great job coordinating the tour and explaining concepts of things in the itinerary (e.g. historical events)

Amy was the best tour guide! At the beginning of the trip, she runs through the timeline of the day so you know what to expect. She’s very knowledgable in every aspect and makes the experience fun. There were a couple of fun surprises along the way, including getting to try local coffee at the Karen Village. Be sure to bring plenty of cash for the markets throughout the day. We highly recommend this experience!

This was an amazing experience of local culture, stunning views, and delicious food. Our tour guide Ize was so thoughtful and funny, keeping track of each guest and providing facts as some of us chose to walk trails or sit them out. I was really impressed with Ize’s knowledge of the local history of each area and kindness. I cannot recommend this tour guide and tour enough! So glad I chose to make this part of my vacation.

Beautiful excursion, great nature, very friendly guide. Tour is long, before breakfast is smart. The waterfall is spectacular, the hike impressive, the "peak" is in the middle of the forest, but great views at the pagodas.

It was a great day with many new impressions and experiences. Lunch was delicious. Tour guide and driver were friendly but talked too much in their language, which did not lead to a relaxed trip. What we didn't like was that was first announced to pick us up from the hotel but on the day of departure that wasn't so. Also, we were not dumped at the hotel on the return journey.

The worst organized tour I have ever experienced. The tour guide did not speak English properly. Her level was elementary, and she was unable to form full sentences—only single words, which made it a guessing game to understand what she meant. The tour structure was poor, with hours wasted on things like coffee and tea degustations or a fruit market, none of which were highlighted in the tour itinerary. That said, the national park itself was amazing, with truly beautiful scenery.

Best day in Thailand. It was so amazing to see the rescued elephants happy and thriving. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide and experience.

My wife Sonali, my son Sourav and me Dipankar (Sanyal) from Kolkata had a great one-day trip from Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon today that is January 7, 2026. The organization, communication and the value for time were great. Mumu our guide kept us engrossed all the day, explained everything nicely, did not allow anyone to feel left out. The driver Tik was also excellent. Besides driving us safely, served our food and did the background work in an excellent manner. They supplemented each other nicely. The sight seeing was arranged in a very relaxed pace starting from Watchitharan waterfall, then a village inhabitated by the white Karen tribe, two short back-to-back hikes to the topmost point of Thaiand and Ang ka trail, twin pagodos of the king and queen and finally the Hmong market. Besides the splendid treat from the nature, the courteous villagers who treated us with a varity of coffee and quality food made the day memorable. Thank you Mumu (Jiraporn Thongdee) and Tik.
