his Alaska culinary tour kicks off when you join your engaging professional guide at a meeting point in downtown Anchorage. They’ll take you on a 3-hour guided walking tour through the heart of the city at a relaxed pace, with plenty of tasty stops along the way.
During your tour, you’ll visit some of the best locally-owned and operated small businesses in Anchorage and have the opportunity to try a wide range of regional and local favorite foods, drinks and treats.
You’ll get a feel for the city as you walk between the restaurants and shops we visit and each stop will last about 15 to 20 minutes. Rest assured as there’ll be plenty of chances to sit and relax as well. After soaking up the atmosphere of this one-of-a-kind city, picking up local insights and stories from your homegrown guide, and filling your bellies with local fare, this tour will finish just a few blocks away from the meeting point at a local eatery.

*This tour requires moving on your own or with assistance (wheelchair) for 15 - 20 minutes at a time. Though seating at establishments is often available, it is not guaranteed. This tour is not suitable for guests who cannot move or stand on their own or with assistance for a period of 3 - 4 hours. People with hip problems, knee issues or other mobility problems should not take the tour.
Unfortunately, we are unable to cater to those with special dietary restrictions (e.g. vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc.). The locations we visit and food we offer change frequently and sometimes with little notice. This makes it extremely difficult to make sure alternatives are available.

5.00A wonderful experience and a great way to learn and see interesting things about downtown Anchorage within about a 6 square block area. The food samplings at 4 restaurants were amazing, topped off with a beer at our final stop. Come Hungry! Our tour began at 10 and we skipped lunch afterwards. Our guide (Liz?) was energetic, knowledgeable, and our group had a blast! Highly recommended.

4.00Our tour guide Liz was great. She had a lot of energy and knowledge about the city of Anchorage. We enjoyed talking to her and enjoyed the tour. I gave this four stars instead of five because the price was very high for the food we ate. We started with yogurt parfaits, then biscuits and gravy, then donuts and lastly a seafood sampler. Everything was tasty but we covered a small area of the city and there were more interesting food tastes that should have been included. Overall it was nice way to spend a few hours and get to know Anchorage.

She was personable and took us to some great places to taste some wonderful foods including yogurt parfait , biscuits and gravy, fire flower tea and doughnuts, and a seafood sampler dish. Everything was great and some great Anchorage history and information. She also gave great dining tips for the rest of our time in Anchorage. Thanks for everything!
Highly recommend if you wanna quick intro to downtown Anchorage.
