Rob knows so many random tidbits and I loved all the stories he told and all the people he mentioned. I’m a history geek so I loved the way he told the stories so I could picture it and also connect it to present day world. Thanks so much Rob!

Rob was an excellent storyteller. He relayed so many interesting and unbelievable historical details with humour and theatrics. He even had stories to accompany the sweet treats making them even tastier. Rob did an exceptional job recounting the indigenous experience , giving it the respect it deserves. The tour was well paced with opportunities to sit down, get away from the rain, and use a restroom. We are looking forward to trying some of the other tours Forbidden Vancouver provides.

We had Rob as our guide - he was very knowledgeable, entertaining and engaging. Rob provided us with so much information about Vancouver's history that we wouldn't have learnt without doing this tour. It was a great little walk around downtown Vancouver and we visited a number of beautiful buildings and learnt about their sinful history. The walk was well paced for all of the people on the tour, with plenty of washroom stops. We had some Canadians with us on the tour who also learnt lots of new information about Vancouver. The sweets were very nice as well.

The Sinners and Sweets tour with Rob was an absolute delight! He does a brilliant job. The stories were intriguing, funny and also very moving. I cannot recommend it enough. And the treats? Perfection! We went back to each spot for more being the gluttons we are.

Rob was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide on a fascinating walking tour with lots of insights into the early history and rapid expansion of Vancouver. Lots of entertaining anecdotes of the corruption behind that expansion. Also stories of vaudeville and Vancouver’s place in the entertainment business. Poignant and important story of the residential schools. Highly recommended!
