What To Expect
Maria Theresien Square
Maria-Theresien-Platz is a large public square between Ringstrasse and the Museumsquartier. Facing each other from the sides of the square are two twin buildings, the Natural History Museum and the Art History Museum. Square is decorated by the grand statue of empress Maria Theresa.

The most impressive monument on Ringstrasse with grand Empress Maria Theresia and many another figures including W.A.Mozart.

5.00This was a dense overview of the city in the time we had and we covered a lot of ground. Our guide, Dace, was full of information about the sites and the historical figures of Vienna. We loved her delivery and style and also how she augmented her remarks with a file of pictures that she pulled out to illustrate certain important points. She was also very calm and really funny! It was our first day in Vienna and it gave us a huge jump start. We started at the Statue of Maria-Theresian and she told us the story of Mozart playing for her at 6 years old and then hopping on her lap to cover the empress’s face with kisses. Definitely a fun story to start our day! Thank you Dace!!

5.00This was a very informative comprehensive tour. Saw many historical sites and Giselle was an exceptional tour guide. Learned quite a bit of Austrian history, the significance of the historical sites and the culture. Giselle is an excellent storyteller and answered our many questions. Fun too! The time went by quickly! Highly recommend this tour especially if you are a first time visitor !
