  Two main takeaways from this experience: 1- use a credit card on Viator or as much as you can on the trip. This will give you leverage if a dispute arises with services or product purchases. 2- Egypt is actually VERY easy to navigate on your own. Trips, rides, planes, buses, and temple visits are also VERY easy to book and you don't need to follow a big tour like this to do it all. Would save a significant amount planning on your own leaving more money for fun, gifts, or additional travel. To be transparent: I booked last minute though Viator and the tour company said it would not be a problem. First trip to Egypt. Negatives in this review are based on the trip advertised and services that were flat out promised and not provided or adjusted without reimbursement. Some stuff is bigger while others are small. But collectively it made the trip unpleasant at times and the trip price was a considerable amount of money. And I do understand the trip alternatives that had to be made but I would say the trip price would maybe change along with some of those alterations. Some details of the trip inclusions also seemed misleading. 1. I was supposed to have 2 nights 5 star hotel in Giza. Didn't happen. I get the travel change but when I got to the hotel, and it was noticeably run-down I was pretty upset. Then the water in the shower was cold. I got in late and didn't eat so in the morning I was pretty hungry. Then the box breakfast was bread and pastries. Again with the travel plan chages I get- but why book a hotel so far from the airport anyways if I would need to fly out so early? It was a very miserable and jarring start to the trip. 2. There was supposed to be a traditional Egyptian lunch with a family that didn't happen. 3. The other group members and myself were under the impression that the hot air balloon ride was supposed to be at sunset to watch. I believe that is how the guide kept describing it though Viator isn't specific on it. But it was another super early morning with a box breakfast and we waited out in a field for over an hour which was unnecessary but also we got up in the balloon after the sun was already up. 4. The trip was supposed to include breakfasts but 3 of 5 were boxed and was just very very basic. Bread with a slice of cheese. Potato chips. An uncut tomato and cucumber. It's a stretch to call it a meal especially when it would be hours before lunch. 5. We were supposed to do a horse and carriage ride which we were kind of swayed to avoid. The one family had a daughter that was a bit upset to miss that. 6. No welcome drink or trip information from the driver when I intially arrived in Egypt. 7. The tour guide was slightly aggressive in telling all of us who to tip and even how much to tip. When an Uber cost 50EP and our whole group is being told to tip 450EP each for every ride that is included in the original tour price... it seemed like the guide and helpers/staff/drivers were expecting the tourist group to almost pay for their time. Almost like the tour company wasn't compensating them for the work. And just being told how, when, and the amount to tip was very pushy and made a lot of the trip uncomfortable. 8. Guide took us to shops with slightly aggressive sales associates, inflated prices, and what I would assume is a commission for the tour company or guide with any sales made by the tour group. 9. Lack of communication. It seemed like I constantly had to reach out to get information and times for things and driver contact info. There were a few times I got into a car with no clue where I was going because that information wasn't passed on to me. Or one car would stop in the middle of a road ro swap people out into another random vehicle. 10. The cruise accomidation was not the most enjoyable. Not necessarily the tour company fault but more of a note since the tour company chooses the boat. My room was the furthest back near the engine. The room was shaking well into the night with the noise and vibrations reminiscent of when an aircraft begins max thrust for take off and andter it touches down on the tarmac trying to slow down quickly with brakes and reverse thrust-but for hours. Smell of engine fumes outside of my door. The. There was no wifi available. Not tv signal available (which would have maybe been nice to help drown out the sound of the engines). Puddles forming from the air conditioner in the floor. It was miserable for the experience. So 1-6 I would argue are refund worthy to some extent. 7-10 are just the negative notes about the overall experience Good stuff: 11. As described this was a great first trip to Egypt. At times it was exhausting but we got to see so many different sights and participate in so many different experiences within the country. It made myself and the others definitely want to research more on what we saw and all agreed the trip just made us want to come back and explore the country even more. 12. Main tour guide was very informative. I think he had a good balance with the pace through the temples, the amount of information given, and the amount of time he allowed for photography. He even helped to take photos for us at times. He kept us on time, and informed on a daily plans. 13. The tour company (you) was very attentive with any issues and responded quickly to answer any questions, help with any personal matters, and being there during the whole trip for any assistance needed. They even helped to get my hydroflask bottle back after I left in a taxi-shipping it over 7 hours away to the city I was staying in after the tour ended. 14. The tour company had a great selection of sights they picked out to see. From lesser known temples to the world famous. Trip schedule had a logical movement from one place to the next and really made for an unforgettable lifetime trip. All travel- land, air, and sea was booked and handled leaving the tour geoup members time to relax and focus on all that Egpyt has to offer.

  A great trip fully packed with tours and activities. The guides were clear professionals with passion for their profession. Also great for tourists since you are never alone and in case of any questions the help was on time, in my case my contact was Bassant. In few words, an amazing tour for someone who wants to dive deep into Egypt for a week

  On July, 2024, my daughter and I went on a 5 night 6 day Cairo, Aswan, Luxor, Red Sea tour in Egypt. My main tour operator was named, Salwa. She was very friendly, kind, helpful and intelligent. Before embarking on my trip, she spoke with me regularly on WhatsApp, providing me with information about my tours. She made me feel very comfortable and excited about going to Egypt! When I encountered any challenges during my trip, she was there to guide and support me via WhatsApp. Also, I really appreciate Salwa’s customer service, because she went the extra mile to advise me of other tours that I can explore within Egypt. She simply added the additional tours to my package. This was really helpful, because I was able to experience more of Egypt’s culture. Salwa, is definitely a sweet and beautiful person, and I would recommend her as a tour operator to anyone of interest. She worked diligently to make my trip successful. Thank you, Salwa! All the tour guides were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They made my trip memorable! I enjoyed the city tour in Cairo, pyramids, sphinxs, the Nubian Village in Aswan, the temples and horse and carriage ride in Luxor , swimming with the dolphins in the Red Sea in Hurghada and the Nile River Cruise. The cruise had scrumptious food, lovely service, and the cabin was clean, spacious and comfortable. These tours were amazing and awesome! Majority of the time my trip was good, however, I did encounter a few minor setbacks. For example, at the beginning of the trip, I was not provided with a complete itinerary stating the exact times of the tours, names of the tour guides and the locations of the hotels (it was a bit frustrating and disorganized). I also was disappointed with one hotel because it was not a 5 star hotel, so I decided not to stay there. In addition, I was unhappy because I was unable to go on the hot air balloon ride in Luxor because it was cancelled, due to the weather. However, despite these setbacks, the company and the tour operator, Salwa, made every effort to accommodate me. They provided me with an updated itinerary, upgraded hotel/cruise, and they refunded my money back for the hotel and the hot-air balloon ride. They made me feel very special! They were an awesome team to work with! Overall, I would recommend this tour, because it was great value for money. It included a variety of excursions that will enable you to explore the richness of Egypt’s culture. The company, the tour operator and the tour guides were great people! I truly enjoyed my stay in Egypt! It was adventurous and I met helpful, kind and lovely people! If the Lord wills, I will return back to Egypt to embark on another amazing tour! Note: Make sure you buy a SIM card in Egypt ( I bought a card upon arrival at the airport) to communicate with your tour operator and your guides.

  I am a female solo traveller. As expected,I was quiet skeptical before my trip to Egypt. Little did I know that my trip to Egypt would be one of the most amazing trips in my lifetime. I booked this trip online via Viator. Right from the moment I booked the trip, the communication received from Hany and his team was spot on. They were proactive and more concerned about all the arrangements than me. The pick up from and to the airport was arranged by them,all the tours were well coordinated and timely. My guide Saladino was the best guide I could have expected or hoped for. Since I was solo,Hany,Saladino and their team went out of their way to make me feel safe and comfortable. I was given an upgrade on the cruise and given complimentary wifi on board, as they wanted me to stay connected with my family. If there's anybody in Egypt you should travel to Egypt with, it's with Hany and Saladino (+201090924534/ +201003970676) They are the best and I absolutely loved everything about my trip to Egypt, and the numerous photographs they took for me are something I will always cherish. The trip was value for money and I definitely felt it was worth every penny and even more. Thank you Hany and Saladino for your impeccable hospitality and such a memorable adventure.
