I really enjoyed the experience of learning about where they sourced the pearls and how they were made. The salesman and owner were super friendly and not pushy at all. There’s designs of the jewelry were really cute. I recommend the pendants as they look more modern with the pearls. I got a really cute cat design that wasn’t even shown on their website. The shop is a bit hard to find. Look for the Picolab sign (it’s a piece of laminated paper) next to a glass door with a bunch of Japanese words on it. The store is on 2nd floor and it’s a shoes off building. They have slippers. Definitely would come back just to see their future designs. The pricing of their jelwery were super cheap compared to other places that sells pearl. Also you should do the gatcha machine. I got four small pearls that were really cute for 1000 yen. Real pearls. They said you can get 2-4 pearls from the gatcha machine. It’s nice that they are a locally run Japanese business. You get that authentic feel, not too touristy. Not sure if it’s a random luck but I got a hybrid color pearl of both blue and white luster. Set it in a cute cat pendant.

Awesome experience at Picolabo! We were able to pick our oysters and got lovely pearls from them. I now have 2 unique pieces to take home with me! The whole experience was insightful and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend signing up for this activity!

This was an amazing opportunity to learn about pearls and their harvest. Our family enjoyed finding the pearls and choosing jewelry to match. All of our hosts were kind, informative, and professional. It is a very calm and welcoming environment with one to one attention as you go through the process.

I really enjoyed this moment. Shopkeepers are adorable and explain all the steps behind making a piece of jewellery. They show us moment to collect the pearl ourselves and then offer us a wide choice of jewelry where the pearl can be placed. They also have a beautiful shop with quality jewelry.

This was a wonderful experience. The staff at pico lab were professional and friendly. We were taught about the process of pearl collection in depth before we were given a shell to open up and find our own unique pearl.

This was such a fun experience! My daughter is very interested in pearls and they gave an easy to understand explanation of how pearls are created and how their value is determined. There was a nice choice of accessories that you could create with your pearl. We made some lovely hair pins with ours. They also had a fun capsule machine that we used to get some other lovely pearl jewelry. I was worried about “making” the jewelry, but the staff did all the drilling so it was professionally assembled. Helpful tip. The entrance is on the side. There is a sign on the door saying to go around, but it is in Japanese.
