Damnoen Saduak floating market is clearly a pure tourist attraction. If I could go back, I would rather go to the smaller floating market in Bangkok. Souvenirs, food and drinks are at least x1.5 the regular price. Prices are regulated: 2000 bath for 1 hr motor boat; 1000 bath for 1 hr rowing boat. We spent 1.5 hr going around the canals and we enjoyed it but don't expect to find a place where locals go to do groceries!

I have never experienced a place that steals your money like this, we paid 4x2000 B, for a trip that on all signs cost 3000 B, even though we asked him we bought the ticket for.... the trip was boring and all the shops were the same… Never do it again
