Badiauri
Badiauri – Traditional Georgian Bakery Stop On the way to Kakheti, we will make a short and authentic stop in the charming village of Badiauri, known for its traditional roadside bakeries. Here you will experience a true taste of Georgian daily life and hospitality. You will have the opportunity to watch the fascinating process of baking shoti – traditional Georgian bread cooked in a clay oven called tone. The aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air as local bakers prepare it right in front of you, using methods that have been passed down for generations. Afterwards, you can enjoy this hot, crispy bread together with local Kakhetian cheese, a simple yet unforgettable combination loved by locals. This stop is a perfect introduction to Georgian culture, traditions, and cuisine before we continue our journey into the famous wine region of Kakheti.
Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino
Bodbe Monastery – Spiritual Heart of Kakheti Our journey continues to the peaceful and historic Bodbe Monastery, one of the most important religious sites in Georgia. Nestled on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Alazani Valley, the monastery offers breathtaking panoramic views and a serene atmosphere. This sacred place is associated with Saint Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century. Visitors can explore the monastery grounds, admire its elegant architecture, and experience the calm and spiritual energy that makes Bodbe a meaningful stop for both pilgrims and travelers. The beautifully maintained gardens and scenic viewpoints make it not only a religious landmark but also a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature — a perfect cultural contrast to our wine experiences in Kakheti.

When you are hangover in the morning, everyone suggests u borjomi in Georgia (country). One morning after previous night party, me and my hangover friends decided to go to Borjomi, we wanted pure, natural borjomi water, we had not tasted before and we knew it was not far from Tbilisi. David (this young guy really knows his job) picked us up at our hotel and we started. The road was interesting, but we were feeling so bad, nobody was caring about picturesque landscape. In two hours we were in Borjomi City drinking natural Borjomi water, it was amazing, you feel how you are getting better, your energy level fills and u feel reborn. We saw also Bakuriani, but unfortunately there was not snow, but we had nice georgian cuisine and we became drunk again on the way back to Tbilisi. Of course we filled our bottles with borjomi water for the next morning, it is free. Thank you David and whole Georgia for great hospitality.
