ES a beautiful walk. Hallstatt ES very pretty. It's worth it. However, I NO'NO recommend it for the excursion only there, because there is NO much. EN conjunction with Salzburg, ES very good tour. It would include NO Melk, but EN, it was in the package. The ugly thing DE this excursion was the vehicle. Very uncomfortable for so many hours DE travel. It was a combi. Tight, no legroom (and I'm NO longer that tall). Guide Alexander, unwilling, talking low and into the microphone that all the time made interference. That's what I likeD NO. He didn’t speak English well, nor was he understood because he spoke low, unwillingly, and with the microphone attached to his mouth.

Very rushed tour. The tour guide on the bus was reading off of her iPad the entire time and the speech sounded like a tour description from an advertisement. It was very difficult to listen to her. There was no information provided about the Melk Abbey: no history, no current state - nothing. The tour guide in Salzburg seemed very knowledgeable but sounded very irritated. No food or drinks allowed on the bus but the stops are merely long enough to see the place, so you are lucky if you can grab a bite.

The history from the team leader could have been given out as a handout. Most people were either dozing or playing on their phones. Suggest more on the country side we travelled through, crops , industry. Waterways. Have bottles of water available as it was really warm.

Not worth the money. The tour guide pushes you at each stop. We had 40 minutes at Melt. That wasn’t near enough time to experience the church and town. The next stop is Hallstatt. What a beautiful little town. We were told to make sure we use the restroom because that was the only place we could do so the rest of the trip. We were told about a boat ride you could take on the lake but if you do take it you will be late for the bus and we will leave you. The tour guide was nice enough to let us know it was a 400 euro ride back to Vienna in a taxi. They gave us 1 hour and 10 minutes to explore that time. Not enough time again. Bring your running shoes. When we got back on the bus the guide asked how the trip was and in unison we all told them that it was no good! Not enough time. She made some excuses and off we went. Next stop Salzburg. At this point my wife and I have looked at trains going from Salzburg to Vienna. We had our suspicions that it was going to be another short visit. We asked the guide how long we would be in Salzburg and she said 2 hours. When we arrived 30 minutes later we were told 1 hour and 40 minutes! LOL What a joke and what a rip off! My wife and I jumped off the tour and explored Salzburg on our own. 5 hours and we still didn’t see everything. I don’t know how the tour saw anything in Salzburg. We caught the 10 o’clock train and went back to Vienna. Ended a great time after we left the tour. They need to either expand their day a few more hours. Or they need to drop one of the cities and make it just Hallstatt and Salsburg.
