Our full day trip from Vienna shows you the must-see places in Austria in a comfortable and flexible manner.

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive to Austrian Alps, where you will find out the facts of the highlight of the Wachau Valley, the magnificent Benedictine Abbey of Melk.

As you continue your journey, you will experience the natural splendour of the Salzkammergut Lake District, a paradise of serene waters and stunning alpine scenery.

The next highlight of the trip is the unique village of Hallstatt, located right on the shores of an Alpine lake with an amazing view of the huge mountains rising steeply from a narrow valley.

The next highlight is the City of the Sound of Music - Salzburg, where you will have free time to stroll through the Old Town, Mirabel garden, Mozart's Birthplace and enjoy the world capital of classical music.

If you find yourself enchanted by this magnificent city, you can stay there longer and return to Vienna at your own expenses by train.

Please note that you will cover approx. 660 km. by motorway on this day. It is approx. 8,5 hours drive with multiple stops. You will spend minimum 1 hour in Hallstatt and max. 2 hours in Salzburg. In case of traffic jams, the time can be shortened.

This tour is created for inquisitive travellers who want to visit the most important cities in a short time. If you want to get to know these cities in more details, we strongly advise you to go to each of these cities separately.

To save your free time in the cities, we also recommend you to bring light snacks and water. You can eat on the bus as long as you don't disturb other tourists.

Tour is not recommended for infants and very slow-moving disabled persons.

The tour guide Alex was unprofessional, he went away during the tour in the church and we couldn't find him before the assembly time. I don't even know what's the point of having this guide in the trip.

The guide was very informative and the timing was just right in each place. The meeting place is very accessible to public transit. Enamored by this tour's attractions and views especially in Halstatt. Great for those who don't have much time to see many places and attractions, more efficient , you have value for your money. Highly recommend!

The long tour through the Austrian mountains was beautiful — safe, scenic, and full of discovery. The landscapes were breathtaking, and everything was well-organized. However, I was hoping to have a local tour guide to get a more authentic feel for the country. The experience felt a bit like an AI-generated tour — efficient, but missing the personal stories and local charm that make a trip truly memorable.

Overall very nice experience...only if you do it in summer you will get lot day light to see Salzburg in details....rest is a very good trip including both the driver and guide

This trip was informative and beautiful with Hallstatt being the highlight of the tour. It did feel rushed at time, however we made the most of it. Was really interesting learning all the facts and history about Austria.

Very busy day with about 45 minutes at each stop. The tour guide in Salzburg was difficult to follow but gave a highlight of Mozart / sound of music sites. Our bus tour guide Sophia was very helpful and nice. Wish had more free time in old town but was a 15 minute walk back to starting point so not able to see any shops . The alps were amazing with fall foliage and snow tipped peaks

It was a wonderful and truly memorable trip — absolutely worth it! I will always keep this trip close to my heart, especially Hallstatt, which felt like heaven, and Salzburg as well.
