  I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the wonderful experience we had with our driver and guide, Aris. We had a super day, thanks to his expertise and excellent service. Aris provided us with a very comfortable ride, and his driving skills on the tight roads, along with his knowledge of the sights on our itinerary, enabled us to have the best possible experiences at the epic Bali sights we wanted to see. He took the time to help us design our tour, ensuring we could pack everything in. Aris guided us through the Tirta Empul Temple and the purification ceremony, which would have been difficult for us to navigate on our own. We also thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Tegallalang Rice Terraces and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. As a real bonus, he took us on a beautiful drive over the mountain and through the countryside to Besakih Great Temple. Aris's English is very good, and we very much enjoyed his company. We also had a surprise stop at the Cantik agriculture coffee farm to experience the famous Luwak Coffee. It was truly an amazing day.

  Guna was an excellent tour guide. He picked us up from our hotel and adapted the tour to suit our interests. He knows so much about the local community, culture, and the places he tool us to.

• Highly disappointing day

  This was an extremely disappointing experience on all counts. We thought we would have a mix of flexibility and comfort by booking an hourly based tour rather than a preset option. Boy were we mistaken. We had pre designed our tour, sending across our list of options to the tour company days in advance. We were in constant touch making sure all activities and sites were to our interest. The driver arrived on time and from the jump kept asking us where are we going, and trying to get us to change our plans. This was highly annoying as we had already designed our tour. He didn’t want us to go to several places telling us that it’s not good for us. We only had one spot that was an hour away the rest was 15 and 20 mins apart but he kept trying to sway us. Not once did he offer us water. Thankfully we had some with us. While going to the Vishnu temple he told us we needed sarongs and took us to a store to buy one. He didn’t tell us that the temple had free sarongs to wear when we go there. When we get to the monkey forest he told us would you like me to come in or will you go in yourself, basically implying that he wanted to stay in the car. We asked several questions and decided we will go ourselves. From there we were going to Ubud center to go to the palace, Saraswati temple and Ubud traditional market. He tells us to go walk to these places there is no parking. To be fair they told us this before. What we hadn’t planned was it being an extremely hot day and the directions being confusing. Again we wasted time trying to identify locations ourselves and walking in circles in the heat. We had no idea what we were looking at. The entire point of booking this was convenience of a car, he could have dropped us at the palace or temple and then gone back to the parking lot or better yet come with us. Again he wanted to sit in the car. That’s the impression we got. Overall, extremely disappointing. We decided to cut the trip short as we were so disappointed from the whole thing and didn’t enjoy our time. We were constantly being pushed and the whole thing lacked any level of service. We usually love our Viator trips and have used their services all over the world. This was probably one of the worst options. Again to be fair the office messaged us as they heard we had cut the trip short and wanted to make it right, but we just didn’t have the option. Plus we didn’t feel comfortable spending another day with them as we have limited time in Bali. Overall, just not worth it.

  “Chris” our tour guide was wonderful. He was extremely informative, knowledgeable and kind. His car was air conditioned, newer and clean. He’s a very good driver (important on this island) We gave him 5/6 things we thought we wanted to do while in Bali. He gave his opinion and put them in the proper order in order to maximize efficiency. I highly recommend him
