Departing Edinburgh your travel into the scenic Trossachs National Park, with the opportunity to enjoy some morning refreshments in the Highland town of Callander. Your tour will then continue through the desolate Rannoch Moor, one of the last remaining wildernesses in Europe. We will stop for photographs in Glencoe which has very dramatic scenery and a dark past.
Travelling through Fort William with Ben Nevis looming overhead, you will follow the Great Glen Canal on its journey to Fort Augustus at the southern top of Loch Ness. Here you’ll have around 2 hours to explore the town and have some lunch. You can also purchase tickets for a 1 hour cruise on the loch.
Leaving Loch Ness behind we will travel through the Grampian Mountains and across sweeping ‘Monarch of the Glen’ country to the Perthshire. Here we will have time for evening refreshments.
You can take in views of the Forth Rail Bridge, a UNESCO world heritage site, as we travel south towards Edinburgh.

I went on a tour of the Scottish Highlands and Loch Ness today, and our guide, Fionn, was absolutely fantastic. He kept us entertained throughout the entire day, sharing tons of interesting anecdotes, historical facts, and fun curiosities that really brought each place to life. Fionn made several stops along the way so we could admire breathtaking views and explore some truly magical spots. He was friendly, engaging, and always made sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, his enthusiasm and knowledge made the whole experience unforgettable. It felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with someone who’s passionate about showing you the most beautiful corners of Scotland.

Still hesitating to do this tour? So did we but we are super glad we did. It was beautiful, and Jamie was a very nice and good guide. His passion for the country and for Scotland's history is infectious! The many stories and stops besides the beautiful view on the bus (the weather was beautiful) make every moment fun and valuable!

We had a wonderful day with our tour guide Ron. Despite the clouds and the rain he brought a lot of brightness to the day. He was extremely knowledgeable and its clear he loves teaching people about Scotland's history.

The tour with Gary S. was fantastic! The tour coach was quite comfortable, and Gary was very informative. His stories were interesting and funny at times. He didn’t overload with info or details, and played some Scottish tunes to mix it up. We also wish to note that Gary was an excellent driver, especially when we had some stormy weather.

In spite of the fog and overcast skies, the vistas and explanation of what we would have seen was stellar! As the day progressed and the day cleared, the views were quite amazing and beautiful. Kyle made the whole experience worthwhile with his extensive knowledge of Scotland and great sense of humor! Traveling in a small group was the best. Our trip to see the Highland cows was the icing on the cake!

Loch Ness Glencoe and The Highlands was the first 1 day tour we went on (out of 3), and Ron was our tour guide. He was absolutely amazing!! With each tour we took, each guide for sure each had their strengths and each their own style. We each had our favorites and Ron was mine! He had very interesting stories and an interactive way of telling it. He let us take the scenery in at times and told us history as it pertained to where we were. The company offered small tours unlike other competitors, which was so nice!! I was so grateful I booked with Discover Scotland! It could have been scary booking all 3 of my trips with them and they weren't any good. There were two things I did right when I booked all of our activities for Scotland, this was the first thing I nailed!! They are worth every dime we spent! Their tour guides made it memorable, and we are grateful for making a once in a lifetime dream so special!
