Board our vintage Land Rovers and let's head into the back roads of Beaujolais. We'll take you through the best of what Beaujolais has to offer: private medieval castles, wineries, local craftsmen, local producers (honey, cheese, cold cuts, truffles, etc.). Beaujolais has 10 crus (top wines); we can cover most of them in that full day.
Lunch will either be in a local restaurant or on a picnic we'll set up in the vineyards. We focus on what we love, which is usually food, wine, anecdotes, history, architecture, and landscapes.
We'll stop in a vineyard to open a few bottles of wine and taste local cold cuts and cheese with a gorgeous view of the region.
All our rides are private and tailor-made, so we'll happily adjust the above to your centers of interest.

Note that we offer a premium pick-up in Lyon option or alternatively we provide courtesy return train tickets from Lyon, ride duration 35 mins.

Magical and Memorable Beaujolais experience

5.00This was a truly spectacular and intimate experience. We were picked up at our hotel in Lyon by one of the owners of the company and he could not have been more pleasant and informative. We met our guide Emilie who drove us in the vintage Land Rover to three separate small vineyards in the Beaujolais area. She was extremely knowledgeable about the region and passionate about the wines. At each vineyard we did tastings of at least 5 wines and were able to walk the vineyard and met with the winemaker at one as well. I would highly recommend selecting to do the picnic for a small additional fee, where they set up a table and chairs at the top of a mountain in a vineyard. It was absolutely spectacular - Emilie cooked for us on a barbecue and we drank wine and ate cheese and charcuterie that we selected at a local fromagerie in one of the small Cru villages —- the day could not have been more memorable.

5.00What a truly amazing day we had with Amelie! The car was fun, the shopping at the market was truly enjoyable, lunch was absolutely delicious, and the vineyards and wine tasting were the best. We especially loved our first stop with Patrick & Nelly. Of all the experiences we had on this trip, this was truly a highlight!!!

A Perfect Day in Beaujolais

5.00We had an absolutely spectacular day sampling the crus of Beaujolais with our wonderful guide, Alex. We were in Lyon to visit family but wanted to spend one day winetasting and this trip ticked every box. We had an easy train ride from Lyon, Alex met us at the station and whisked us away in his lovely vintage land rover. He apologized several times for this English which was flawless and did a wonderful job translating and teaching us all about the region and why it is so special. The highlight was probably the beautiful picnic lunch among the vines. Overall the day was informative, very relaxing, perfectly paced and tailored to our interests. Could not recommend hightly enough.

5.00Although the weather was rather cold and foggy, our guide Alexandre, made it warm and interesting. All our stops were fantastic, including a country side delightful lunch! Beaujolais wines were great as expected.
