What To Expect

Join pastry chef Thierry for an afternoon of fun and freshly baked pastries! As a professional chef in the heart of Lyon, Thierry will teach you how to make classic French pastries and baked goods, including the traditional classic tart with pink pralines, cream puffs like chocolate éclair or Paris-Brest with caramelized almonds, or macarons. About your host Thierry: "I'm an easy going cooking teacher and passionate French chef. I like to meet and invite new people from all over the world. Please join me in my small restaurant, in a 15th century building of Lyon."

It was a superb class. Terrie is an excellent teacher, very friendly, personable, and enthusiastic about teaching. My wife and I did two different big tarts per person from scratch and it was fun.

Fun experience making biscuits, tart & praline. Chef kept us in line and on track with humor. Finished products are presented boxed and bagged….. so at least I looked professional!! And they tasted good too…

My husband and I completely enjoyed our class with Thierry. He was very knowledgeable and patient with us and our skill level. We learned a lot and the treats were so delicious! This is a definite recommended activity! Loved it !

This was such a fun pastry making experience. Terry has a way of teaching that made even the most novice baker very comfortable. He was entertaining and very knowledgeable. I would take other classes with him. He really made it a very rewarding experience.

Our chef host Thierry took us through 3 local patisserie recipes. His instructions were clear and he was supportive of us as novice pastry chefs. A thoroughly enjoyable time spent learning about Lyon, pastry and the art of the pastry chef. I would highly recommend this experience.
