Join pastry chef Thierry for an afternoon of fun and freshly baked pastries! As a professional chef in the heart of Lyon, Thierry will teach you how to make classic French pastries and baked goods, including the traditional classic tart with pink pralines, cream puffs like chocolate éclair or Paris-Brest with caramelized almonds, or macarons. About your host Thierry: "I'm an easy going cooking teacher and passionate French chef. I like to meet and invite new people from all over the world. Please join me in my small restaurant, in a 15th century building of Lyon."

The class was really fun. We made a local specialty: the praline tart, as well as candied almonds, and candied almond scone. The instructor made the class easy and amusing and we came home with delicious treats.

We had a wonderful time at our pastry class! Thierry was an experienced and enthusiastic instructor. The class was fun and very well organized. We left with delicious goodies--enough to share! Would definitely recommend for all levels of experience.

This experience was one of the most enjoyable and fun things I have had during my travels. From the moment I walked in the door it was apparent we would all have a great time. The instructions for baking were very easy to follow and Chef helped you feel like you were in a real working kitchen with playful yelling to work faster. The baked goods were very tasty and the group dynamics were very relaxed. I would highly recommend taking any of the cooking or baking options available with Chef Lyon!!

The chef is experienced, funny, and rich with lively anecdotes about this, his native city. Very entertaining. When we were done, we were somewhat surprised to discover that we had been fully engaged for three hours. A nice little gem if you get the chance.
