What To Expect
Potamies
Our first stop is the verdant one and one of the representative villages of Crete, Potamies. We will be guided to a traditional farm where we will see the milking of animals and local activities such as cheese making. There we will taste traditional products such as fresh cheese, olive oil & rakomelo!
Aposelemis Dam
Next stop is the Aposelemis dam, the largest water supply project in Crete. The village of Sfendili is submerged in the waters of the dam with its impressive old houses fading on the surface of the water. Also a natural wetland with a variety of birds.

5.00The means of transport from the start, Land rover, already gives the "adventure" side (kids love it). This is a real game changer compared to large bus groups. It is the fact of being in a small group (8) that is very valuable, for interaction with others and with the guide. The excursion and stops in small villages, small fun activities are a real treat for the eyes, taste buds and curiosity. The explanations about the still current way of life of the ridge "in its juice" allows to be teleported to places out of time, in beautiful landscapes and especially out of mass tourism. We want to stay there for the authentic and rejuvenating side. The tastings are very nice, especially the raiki in the morning at the farm (good products to bring back) My most beautiful experience as well as for my children during this ridge stay. Thanks to the Yacer guide for his explanations and his ability to involve Everyone 🌞

5.00Very interesting and also lively tour. Multilingually run and still Mega well done. Many impressions could be gathered. Local crafts could be looked at and also taken away. No sales trip!!! If you liked something, you could inform yourself and buy it. But then at least you knew who was receiving the money. We can only recommend!

5.00A fantastic day out. Saw lots of the island and our guide,Andreas, was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. The views once we were up in the mountains were spectacular and we were given a lot of information. We stopped for lunch which was absolutely delicious and we were also shown how to make Tzakiki and the ingredients used for stuffing peppers and tomatoes. A really enjoyable day out full of laughter.

5.00This was an amazing introduction to Crete. Vagelis was a fantastic guide and showed us the local side of the island. We fed and milked goats, visited beautiful lookouts, learned about the olive oil industry, explored a monestary and had a wonderful Greek lunch at an intimate family restaurant in the mountains of Crete. Our guide made sure that we experienced the beauty of the island as well as the local customs and traditions. This was our favorite tour while on our 23 day European vacation and helped our entire party fall in love with Crete. We would highly recommend this tour to about any age group. Our family included seniors, middle aged parents and teens. There was something in it for everyone.
