Wear light shoes in the summer, hiking boots for the winter season

Towels, flip-flops and a dark swimming suit due the iron origin of the thermal waters or alternatively a old one are recommended for the hot springs baths.

Dress in layers as temperatures can change quickly. In the cooler months (November through March), bring a light sweater or jacket.

Please arrange beforehand for vegetarian options

Pregnant women and people with low blood pressure or any other medical condition should consult a phisician before using the thermal pools

Amazing experience, and Eduardo was such an chill guide, gave us lots of information and was very kind. The thermal pools at night is an awesome experience, so worth it! Defoo recommended!

Eduardo was an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the island - vegetation, history, economy. My mother’s family is from the island of Sao Miguel, so we enjoyed talking to Eduardo about the book he wrote. We had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed time at the thermal baths. We traveled with three generations and we all enjoyed the tour.
Just do it — you wont be disappointed

These are the kind of activities Id love with friends but would be unlikely to do solo. Joining a tour made me commit and I had a terrific time with a bunch of nice people I ‘ll probsbly never see again but nontheless enjoyed.

I had a great time! Rafael was an engaging guide, the baths in the night was a great experience, but the tea he made with the water of volcanic spring, that turns green tea purple really was amazing!

Hot springs weren't very impressive Furnas baths were nice, but a bit crowded @ late night time slot. Dinner food was good.
