Balquhidder
After departing Edinburgh you’ll head north through the central belt of the country. Your guide will entertain by laying the foundations of many a story about Scotland’s past heroes like William Wallace and Robert the Bruce who made this area of Scotland their own. You will spot royal palaces, giant mythical Kelpies and the ancient stronghold of Stirling Castle. Arriving at our first stop of the day, surrounded by the verdant hills of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National park. Stretch your legs, enjoy a coffee or some baked goods and refresh before rejoining the bus to continue north. Please note, during the winter season we stop at Callander instead of Balquehidder.
Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park
As we travel through the ‘Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park’ our bus weaves through hills, mountains and Glens. These remote places were once inhabited by Highland Clans, not to mention Scotland’s most famous outlaw, Rob Roy MacGregor, whom some consider The Scottish Robin Hood. Look out across the landscape and picture what it was like as you hear the remarkable bloodthirsty stories of betrayal and revenge as told by your guide. If we happen to spot some of our famous ‘Hairy Highland Coos’, we might stop for a selfie.

It was an amazing experience with Martin! He has an amazing personality, a good sense of humor and he made sure that we’re well informed about Scotland and the area we were currently in. Plus point that he was a safe driver, the bus ride was as smooth as possible. 100% would recommend, next time we absolutely would book another tour with them! :)

It was fantastic and completely unstable. The weather once gave us everything around and at the end a rainbow just as David predicted. I'm really excited about the Scottish Guids.

I had your guide Paul, and he was absolutely PHENOMENAL. He told us the history of Scotland, and it was so entertaining and engaging. He also went above and beyond with his recording of Harry Potter in Scots! The music was great and the tour was absolutely magical. So glad we had Paul. He absolutely made this trip. We visited Glenfinnan yesterday and had an amazing trip! Our driver and guide, Paul, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the journey really enjoyable. He shared lots of interesting stories and facts along the way, and his enthusiasm made the experience even better. The views at Glenfinnan were stunning, and the whole day was perfectly organized. Highly recommend this tour—and especially Paul—for anyone visiting the Highlands! But must try whiskey ice cream for sure😂😅

This tour was the highlight of our Edinburgh trip! Our tour guide Nick provided us with lots of stories and music throughout the day and was always very accommodating, funny and likeable. We stopped twice at Highland cattle (I didn't know that this was part of the tour (I think until incl. November) and were happy!!) and once of them you could even feed them. There were fantastic landscapes and you had enough opportunities and time to take some really great photos. Thank you, Nick!!

Colin and Louisa were awesome! Very informative and entertaining. Colin set clear rules to ensure that everyone maximize the time during the tour and enjoyed their time. They gave good recommendations at every stop. Places visited were beautiful and scenic eventhough it was gloomy and drizzling during parts of the tours. Wished we had more time at the places with the beautiful views. Thank you for taking us to meet the Hairy Coos!
