1.00Disappointment! My party of 6 arrived at the port of Naples on time at 8:00 a.m. ready for our excursion; however, others were not timely. We continued to wait for 45 minutes before the tour guide led us to the minibus and proceeded to a hotel to pick up a late passenger where we waited another 20 minutes. We proceeded to Sorrento; however, before proceeding we then stopped at a gas station where the tour guide said we could use the restroom only to find out that she was still waiting on others to board the bus. A taxi met us at the gas station to drop off 2 others that were late. It was now 9:30 (1 ½ hour past our excursion time) before we were off to Sorrento. Because others were late our time in Sorrento, Positano (again, others were late meeting by 15 min), and Amalfi were shortened, we did not have the option for a boat ride. When we arrived at our meeting point in Amalfi the driver was not there, we waited another 20 minutes. The excursion was very rushed and stressful because we had to board the cruise ship by 5:30. Luckily a cruise ship excursion was late, and they held the ship, or we would have missed the gangway.

5.00Our guide gave us a special day visiting 3 towns along the coast. He dropped us off and let us explore on our own. There’s plenty of shops, restaurants, and most importantly beautiful scenery to enjoy. Lots of time is spent in the van traveling on winding congested roads. Our guide had interesting tidbits about the area. It was a group of 6 tourists. I’d recommend the tour.
This is much better than getting a tour on a bus.

4.00There were 8 of us in a nice van driven by a knowledgeable English-speaking guide. We had a great view of the coast. The route is very busy, and it was hard for the guide to find a spot to pull over and let us take pictures. The guide took us to store in Sorrento, that gave us free samples of limoncello and chocolate.
