Follow me for 1h30 in the heart of Bordeaux at the end of the Middle Ages.
During this visit I will explain to you how men and women lived at the end of the Middle Ages, in 1492 exactly!
A year which is undoubtedly the best known in history. But what does Bordeaux look like at that time, when Christopher Columbus discovered America?
You will discover the rare vestiges of the end of the 15th century, and you will immerse yourself in the heart of the daily life of the people of Bordeaux at that time. Food, pollution, justice, will be among the many themes discussed during this visit while passing by some of the most beautiful monuments and places of the city: the Place Fernand Lafargue, the Grosse Cloche and the rue Saint-James, the Place du Palais and Porte Cailhau and much more!
It will be a fun and original visit, between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

We are history nerds, travelling to Bordeaux off season. The guided tour "Bordeaux 1492" was scheduled for the days of our arrival AND departure so it was impossible for us to attend… But after e-mailing with Emmanuel he arranged a private version of the tour for us, on a date that suited us, a custom made mix in French and English = perfect for our needs as a Swedish couple with various French/English skills! And he learned us some bordelaise vocabulary too, lovely! :-D The tour was VERY interesting! As a complement to the sights, Emmanuel also brought with him historical maps and illustrations - super! He enlightened us with details that we definitely would have missed if we hadn't gone on the tour. If we return to Bordeaux, we will definatly book another tour with Vert Bordeaux! Un grand merci de la Suède! ♥
