What To Expect
Chaiya Mangalaram Thai Buddhist Temple
Your driver will pick you up from your respective hotel to proceed with the city Tour. Firstly you will visit Wat Chayamangkalaram Temple where the 4th longest Reclining Buddha Statue is found.
Dhammikarama Burmese Temple
Right across the road you may also visit the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple which holds a Buddha statue standing at 8.2 meters, making it the tallest in Malaysia. The existence of these two temples is due to the early settlement of the Thai and Burmese community in the early 1800s.

5.00Gshen was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who takes the initiative to share more about things beyond the tour. For example, sharing with us how to travel to certain food places, how to navigate the area. He also goes the extra mile by bringing us to a lot of food spots around our hotel. He didn’t rush through the tour and gave us ample time to do our own sightseeing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is new to Penang!

5.00Shawn was my tour guide and ended up just me and him, which was great, felt very special! Picked up promptly, even a bit early. Went to tropical spice garden, entopia butterfly place, batik factory, coffee shop, and drive through and quick photo stop at George Town. Had a really great time. Shawn was very kind at taking photos of me and knowing how and where to stand! Great time, did things I never knew existed on penang!

5.00Our tour guide G-Shen was brilliant. He was waiting for us at the cruise ship terminal in a comfortable vehicle accommodating the 4 adults in our group. His knowledge & attention to us was great. We loved our visit to the temple, the jetty village, the street art, Georgetown, & the funicular ride. We all felt we had saw so much in our 4.5 hours with him. Highly recommend.

5.00Beautiful tour of Penang. Driver Simon was very courteous, friendly & knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time. Went to see the sights & drove past colonial buildings which the guide explained for us. Even drove us to the beach. Would not hesitate to do this again.

3.00Our guide had no itinerary & asked us what we wanted to do??? We settled on going to Penang Hill using the funicular railway, amazing views!!! We then went to Kek Lok Si Temple & were dropped at the top of the temple which had 2 other levels! Unfortunately we thought our guide would be at the main exit at the bottom level & waited over an hour for him, our husbands also went back to middle level but still didn’t find our guide, so it was a taxi back to centre of Penang & then back to ship. Our guide did send us a message saying he waited for us on the middle level so what happened we do not know!! Disappointing!
