5.00We had an excellent day tour with Mr. Shakespeare on the Isle of Man! He is a great ambassador for the island and very knowledgeable about both its historical and cultural aspects. A beautiful drive about in a very comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Highly Recommended!

5.00John was an excellent guide, full of endless very interesting information about the Isle of Man as we circumnavigated it in his immaculate Jaguar SUV. The island itself also did its part in being such a beautiful place, with flowers everywhere in late July. Our only difficulty was wanting even more time and interesting conversation along the way, but despite enjoying everything as much as we did, somehow John managed to keep us precisely on time to end our tour in the planned 8 hours. We travel constantly now, and do private luxury tours more than 100 days a year, but John (and the beautiful island) made this one of our favorites!

5.00We had a fantastic tour with John Shakespeare. I had read about him on TripAdvisor, and was delighted to find that he was our guide for a tour set up by the cruise line. I’m interested in genealogy, and have some Manx heritage. John does genealogy tours! We had a fabulous tour of the south of Isle of Man. John was full of information. Our half day flew by. It was a real treat. Will do it again when we go back. I highly recommend John Shakespeare! Renee Richardson

5.00The two of us were with John for two half day private tours. The Isle of Man is simply extraordinary and so is John. He is a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, grace and kindness. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him, learning about the country and were left longing to return for longer than the week we were there. The Isle of Man is one peaceful place on earth.

5.00John is a delightful person to give a tour. He entertains you with his bagpipes, and lovely songs. He is happy to accommodate any changes you want to make on your tour. My sisters and I learned so much about the history of the island and its people. We had a delightful day with John Shakespear, and I would highly recommend him.

5.00John is absolutely amazing!! My sisters and I experienced a half-day tour of the northern part of the IOM and it was an incredible experience!! He is articulate, friendly, skilled in both singing and playing the bagpipes, and, most importantly, he has a vast knowledge of the history of Celts and Vikings on the island followed by the Scottish and English, with an extensive command of more recent history, as well. In addition, he helped us with local logisitics. I think anyone visiting the IOM should have John give them a tour!!

5.00Can't say enough good things about John! We had some last minute scheduling issues and he was a great help getting them resolved. He's very knowledgeable about all things Isle of Man and the TT race. Will definitely use him again when we go back for another trip!! Also want to give a shout out to Dave for helping with the driving, the lap of the Mountain Course with Johns commentary was awesome!! Would definitely recommend!

5.00John was a gift to my daughter and I. He made a dream come true and completed a mission I have had on my plate for several years. John provided knowledge, history, humor and an experience beyond my dreams and expectations. I'm a retired licensed pharmacist in the US and would compare John to a skilled professional who offered a plan of care for his clients similar to a healthcare professional for a patient. 5.00We just completed 3 weeks of visiting Ireland, London, Scotland and the Ise of Man. During that time we took numerous small group and private tours. John's tour was the absolute best by far. I don't think 5 hours has ever flown by so fast. His love and passion of the island really comes through and is infectious. John is extremely knowledgeable about all things Manx and the history of the island. Take a tour with John and you will not be disappointed! Thank you for a absolutely wonderful tour. Also the seared Queenies in Peel Harbor were the best.
