Plaza Barrios
Barrios Square. A place where thousands of Salvadorans pass through to find all kinds of activities, from concerts, exhibitions and artistic events, or simply feed the traveling pigeons. Learn about presidents who were executed there, as well as legends and stories of love affairs and romances. See the national palace from where President Bukele gave his message to the nation at the inauguration of his second term.
Plaza Libertad
Liberty Square. Explores the heart of the city's historic center. This iconic plaza, with its prominent Liberty Monument, is a symbol of the country's independence. The tour covers the plaza's history, surrounding architecture, and its cultural significance, offering a glimpse into Central America and El Salvador's past. See the architecture of yesterday and today mixed with the new buildings of the present. Learn why the flags of Central America share the colors blue and white and learn about Mesoamerica, a vast region that unites countries from Costa Rica to Mexico.

5.00This was a wonderful and cultural experience. I highly recommend taking this tour where you will experience so much of San Salvador's Historic District just as advertised. I want to thank Carlos our tour guide who was so wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. I must have asked 100 questions and he answered everyone with so much passion and detail. Thank you for making it a wonderful experience.

1.00I went to the meeting place and there was nobody there. I still got charged the $19.99 even though I asked for a refund. I would not recommend this tour. My tour was scheduled for 9:30AM and was finally contacted by the tour guide after 3:00PM.

5.00We had an absolutely incredible walking tour of San Salvador with our guide, Carlos. From the moment the tour began, Carlos brought the city to life with his deep knowledge, thoughtful storytelling, and genuine passion for El Salvador’s history and culture. He answered every question we had and we had a lot! Carlos answered with patience and so much insight. You can tell he truly loves what he does and cares about giving visitors an authentic and meaningful experience. We walked away with a richer understanding of the city and a new appreciation for its beauty and complexity. If you’re visiting San Salvador, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Carlos. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

5.00This tour was honestly one of the highlights of my trip. Carlos was amazing — super friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. He made the historic center feel alive with stories, history, and little details you would never notice on your own. I felt safe the entire time, and he made sure we were comfortable, hydrated, and enjoying ourselves. He answered every question, took great photos, and showed us parts of San Salvador that I would’ve never explored without a local. You can tell he loves what he does. If you’re visiting El Salvador, I 100% recommend booking this tour with Carlos. It’s the perfect mix of culture, fun, and good energy. Would absolutely do it again!
