The Scoot Coupe is sleek, elegant, practical and just plain fun. Only a car license is required to rent a Scoot Coupe. It is the only two person moped in Hawaii. Passengers must be at least 7 years old.
Designed only for riding in Honolulu. The Scoot Coupe is great for riding around Diamond Head, up towards Manoa Falls, down into the Punchbowl Cemetery, Downtown Honolulu, Kaka'ako, Magic Island and Waikiki.
Equipped with bluetooth speakers so you can listen to your favorite music while turning heads at every corner. The rental includes helmets, a lock, a custom tour map and gas.

What To Expect
The Scoot Coupe is the most fun way to explore Honolulu together. This colorful 49 cc moped for two is guaranteed to turn heads at every corner. It's Hawaii's only two person moped. Passengers must be at least 7 years old. Scoot Coupe rentals start at 8:30 and must be returned back to the shop by 4:30 pm. All drivers must be 18 with a valid drivers license and a credit card in their name. Scoot Coupes are only for riding around Honolulu. You must stay off the 61, 72, H-1 and 92.

4.00Great if you have a family with kids who can't drive. Andrew did a great job answering all our questions and making recommendations. Check your car before you pull off. We didn't and ran into a snag once we made our first stop. On one of our coupes, the ignition was finicky. The key would go into the ignition, but it wouldn't turn unless you wiggled it just right. It took a few minutes to find the magic spot each time. NOTE: These DO NOT have a reverse feature. No backing up and no 3-point turns. You will have to get out and manually push the car if you want to back it up. Also, the turn radius is about twice what you'd expect, you’re unlikely to make a u-turn work on most streets.

5.00As a family of 4 with two kids (10 and 8), we rented two scoot coupes, a parent and child in each. They provided us with helmets, a bluetooth speaker for some island vibes, and a bike lock. We did a test run around the block first to get used to them. The biggest pain is that there is no reverse, but it's quite easy to put it in neutral and have even my 8 year old son push us back while I steered. After the first time or two, you got used to it. It was a bit intimidating to drive these on the streets at first, but people were generally very respectful and didn't try to overtake us. It was really cool scooting around Waikiki for hours, doing errands, seeing sights, getting shave ice, and anything else we felt like doing. Early on, one of our scoots seemed to run out of juice, and we were stranded at the aquarium. Someone came with a new scoot in about 7 minutes, confirmed it was a dead battery, and handed us a new scoot while they dealt with the dead one. That was a super helpful and welcome gesture. It was smooth sailing the rest of the way. We got a lot of looks, mostly curiosity, especially at Leonard's, where a cadre of Japanese tourists were fascinated by us. I think we got these guys at least one more sale. All in all, a great experience. If you have young children over 7 years old, they will love it!

5.00I have rented with Hawaiian Style Rentals two times now. Rented a Scooter back in September and a Scoot Coupe this time in February! Both times very enjoyable, staff is so knowledgable and friendly. If in need of a rental on Oahu again, I will definitely go back to them! :)

2.00For the price, the company should provide a better booking experience and better quality locks. The staff seemed overwhelmed with the number of gear rentals they had that day and one staff member in particular was quite rude. It was cool to drive the scoot coupe around for a few hours, but I wouldn't recommend this experience for the amount it cost.
