Easy tour - Involves walking over relatively level terrain, possible gravel or uneven ground in some areas. Lava tube is .4 of mile long with descending and ascending steps. Comfortable walking shoes & light jacket recommended
WHEELCHAIR / WALKER or SCOOTER ? We must know prior to the tour date if you are bringing a mobility device in order to accommodate. (Please add note to comments box) The mobility unit must not exceed 45 lbs. For various reasons our guides cannot assist with mobility units. Guests must have someone with them to move the mobility device in and out of the vehicle. Our vehicles do not have a lift, so any mobility device must be collapsible to fit through the mini bus doors which is 32” wide.
Mobility Restrictions: Mobility devices cannot go into the lava tube, a trail to the crater is dirt path. Trail to black sand beach in ok but the beach is sand. Customers can stay in the vehicle at any time if they wish. Call us if you have further questions.

What To Expect
Banyan Drive
Our first path drives us down Banyan Drive known as the "Hilo Walk of Fame" for the banyan trees planted by celebrities, such as Babe Ruth and Franklin Roosevelt and many others. These trees have withstood several tsunamis that have devastated the town of Hilo
Lili'uokalani Gardens
This is the largest Japanese garden outside of Japan donated by Queen Liliʻuokalani in 1917. Throughout the gardens are stone lanterns, gazebos, and torii gates, recalling the Japanese immigrants who came to Hawaii.

4.00Quite the experience! We never thought we'd see an active volcano, with so many different vantage points. Walking through a lave tube was a highlight as we seeing so many different microclimates in the area. Rainbow fall was pretty but a bit underwhelming. Overall a good day.

3.00Excellent tour guide. She was very kind and knowledgeable. The van itself was very uncomfortable. It was an extremely bumpy ride. Seemed like something was wrong with the suspension. It went from extremely hot and cold throughout the trip. We didn’t get very close to the volcano. The macadamia nut farm is a stop I wouldn’t recommend. We stopped at a gas station for lunch. Overall it was fairly disappointing for how expensive it was. There are better tours out there for the same amount of money. I went a few days later with my girlfriend on a different tour. It was the same price, but included dinner and a much closer tour of the volcano. I think you could take the city bus to the volcano and have just about the same quality experience for much less.

5.00We had a really full day touring the island of Hawaii. Our tour guide Hannibal was a lot of fun. He kept us entertained with great anecdotes and dad jokes. The views of a volcano were thrilling. We highly recommend this tour..

5.00Wow! Tour guide Rusty!!! Amazing. amazing, amazing! What an excellent tour! We had a very comfortable 29 passenger tour van and just loved every single stop! I only wish I could bottle all of the knowledge that Rusty has! So fun and memorable! Lunch was also delicious! Pick up at port was a dream! Cannot say enough great things about the day ❤️
