Easy tour - Involves walking over relatively level terrain, possible gravel or uneven ground in some areas. Lava tube is .4 of mile long with descending and ascending steps. Comfortable walking shoes & light jacket recommended
WHEELCHAIR / WALKER or SCOOTER ? We must know prior to the tour date if you are bringing a mobility device in order to accommodate. (Please add note to comments box) The mobility unit must not exceed 45 lbs. For various reasons our guides cannot assist with mobility units. Guests must have someone with them to move the mobility device in and out of the vehicle. Our vehicles do not have a lift, so any mobility device must be collapsible to fit through the mini bus doors which is 32” wide.
Mobility Restrictions: Mobility devices cannot go into the lava tube, a trail to the crater is dirt path. Trail to black sand beach in ok but the beach is sand. Customers can stay in the vehicle at any time if they wish. Call us if you have further questions.

What To Expect
Banyan Drive
Our first path drives us down Banyan Drive known as the "Hilo Walk of Fame" for the banyan trees planted by celebrities, such as Babe Ruth and Franklin Roosevelt and many others. These trees have withstood several tsunamis that have devastated the town of Hilo
Lili'uokalani Gardens
This is the largest Japanese garden outside of Japan donated by Queen Liliʻuokalani in 1917. Throughout the gardens are stone lanterns, gazebos, and torii gates, recalling the Japanese immigrants who came to Hawaii.

Volcanoes National Park was awe-inspiring, with dramatic lava landscapes and fascinating insights from a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Rainbow Falls was stunning, and we even caught a rainbow in the mist. Exploring the lava tunnel was such an amazing experience! Well organized, comfortable, and perfectly paced—highly recommend this excursion! 🌋🌈

5.00The whole trip was great, and our tour guide Hannibal made it awesome! Hannibal had a wealth of knowledge to share, jokes, facts and personal experience of the area and island in general. Unfortunately the volcano wasn’t erupting when we visited, but Hannibal showed us a great video he took of an eruption from the same spot earlier in the week! I definitely recommend the tour, especially with Hannibal as the tour guide! Planning this tour through Viator was easy and everything went smoothly. And we love it when a plan comes together!

5.00An amazing experience from start to finish! The tour was informative, the views were spectacular, and the lava tube was so cool. Seeing a volcano up close was incredible, and the steam vents were fascinating. Our tour guide, Robert, was not only very informative but also extremely kind and made sure to take pictures of us, which we truly appreciated. Highly recommend!

5.00My husband Skip and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Robert was a fantastic tour guide! He is extremely knowledgeable and clearly enjoys sharing his love of the area. He was always willing to take pictures of us and frequently offered without being asked. Every stop was a delight. I especially enjoyed a stop at the beach, Rainbow Falls, and the Volcanoes National Park.

It was such pleasure learning all the new facts about Hilo and the sites we visited. When we made it to the crater we were moved.
