Hoi An Ancient Town
Hoi An is an ancient town located in the lower section of Thu Bon River, Quang Nam Province, about 30 kilometers south of Danang city. Hoi An was a bustling international trading port,a meeting place of the trading ships of Japan, China and the West during the 17th and 18th centuries. Before this period, there was here also traces of Champa port which was known as a site on Silk Road along the sea. Hoi An ancient town today is a special example of a traditional port city in Southeast Asia which has been well preserved. Most houses here are of traditional architecture dating from the 17th to the 19th century, and are along the narrow main streets. Hoi An is also a land mark recorded much of the mixture of acculturation. The architecture of the city reflects the influence of chinese, japanese, french traders. Hoi An still maintained an intangible cultural diversity and richness. UNESCO has recognized the ancient town of Hoi An as a world cultural heritage in 1999

Couldn't have asked for a better guide than Ms Van. We had the best time and learnt so much! The tour was a perfect mix of culture, history and food. She took us down little secret alleyways that had the texture and feels of time passed. Truly a 10/10 experience! And because it's just my sister and I it is hard to get photos together but Ms Van made sure to take many beautiful photos of us. The river boat was really fun and she made sure we had all the best views and backgrounds for amazing photos. It all felt very personal and special. Highly recommend!

Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. It was good to learn of the long history of Hoi An and to have the walking tour broken up with the show in the theatre. Having an English speaking guide was welcome, we learned a lot. Pick up and drop off at our hotel made things easy and convenient

The Hoi An City tour with our guide, Mr.Bay was extremely wonderful, and informative. The boat ride was very beautiful. Walking through the picturesque streets of Hoi An and listening to the history made us feel like we went right back in time. Mr.Bay was very nice, patient as we clicked multiple pictures, and answered my endless questions. Highly recommend.

This tour was so much fun. It was great having the tour start at 3 pm, so we were there for the lighting of all of the lanterns. Hoi An is absolutely magical at night. We had the best time walking the city, eating and drinking in the city and going on a boat ride. Ty, our tour guide, made special arrangements with boat to take us on an extra long boat ride. The tour did not include dinner, but we were having such a great time we wanted to stay in Hoi An for dinner. Ty was so accommodating. He picked a wonderful restaurant for us to dine at and Ty and our driver took us back to our hotel in Da Nang when we were finished. Ty also ran into Andy who came up to meet us at the restaurant. Is was great to meet Andy and to thank him for heading up such a great tour company. I highly recommend using Andy's tours the next time you are in Vietnam.
