We book the card for 5 days and make our life easier. Transportations with Metro within Amsterdam was free, same many good entertainments (This is Holland, Amsterdam Lookout, Ferry Cruise) and museums (Rijksmuseum, Moco, Nemo). Also there is discount for Madame Tussauds, Body worlds and many other museums/entertainments. Same we used the card for all the museums /attractions in Zaanse Schans village. Value for money for those they want to see and do many things,.

This card was an absolute joy to use all over Amsterdam. When you see how much each individual attraction, museum and the cost of public transport. Buying this card is a HUGE saving for a long weekend trip like we had. I went with my mum (we are both adults but Tripadvisor wouldn’t let me choose that as an option when writing this review). It made travelling around and exploring this amazing, beautiful city so much easier and affordable than it would have been if we had paid for each aspect of our trip individually. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest to anyone that buying an I Amsterdam card is an essential part of your trip/break to Amsterdam.

We have two city cards for 4 days (expensive) with only one order number, we were not able to activate them on the app. We have had "physical" city cards that are non-nominal, non-secure. We lost one, impossible to replace, the reception at the Amsterdam station office was horrible when we reported it, no recourse, we had to buy a card, very very bad deal!

Very popular map for the diversity of places offered. All unlimited transport in the city, real comfort. For a first visit, I highly recommend the city card I Amsterdam.

If you not only want to shop, but also like to visit museums, the I amsterdam city card is an interesting way to see many great things. So you can also just take a look at a museum and see if you like it. In addition, some Things to do (canal tour, bicycle rental) are included in the price. Public transport in the city is included.

Upon arriving in Amsterdam from our cruise ship, we went to the huge train station and found the tourist store where we could pick up our cards. We also received a booklet detailing all the features of the card and a handy map to negotiate the city with the tram lines clearly marked. We had bought the cards online before traveling to Amsterdam and selected to have an actual card rather than use the app. We purchased the five-day card and found it to be very valuable and the cost of the card at least matched the services we received. The most important feature is that the trams are included with the card so you can hop on and off the trams, flash your card, and not have to stop and buy a ticket or to buy an all-day pass each new day. Very convenient since the easiest way to get around is the trams which are easy to use and plot how to get to where you want to go. Here is what we redeemed with our card: a free ride on a canal tour boat, free admission to the Rijksmuseum (Vermeers and Rembrandts!), the House Boat Museum (actually very interesting and informative), Dutch Resistance Museum (very well done and a sobering tour of the devastation of the Nazis), Portuguese Synagogue, the Canal House (ordinary), a discount at the Heineken Experience (lots of campy fun and two glasses of delicious, cold beer), and journeyed out of town to Harleem for a free admission to the Hals Museum and later an all day trip to the Zuiderzee Museum (beautiful train ride and interesting living museum). I’m telling you – this is a great deal!

We purchased this card before our trip to Amsterdam. We purchased the physical card in case our phones did not work as expected. We picked the card up at the IAmsterdam store in Central Station. The store is located in the shopping strip area along the back ( water side ) of the station. It was quick and easy. The card worked great, we went to several museums, the zoo , top of the ADam building , the Horticultural museum/gardens, had a great canal ride, and lots of trips on the tram - all included. Well worth the money if you are going to be in Amsterdam for a few days.

This great card gets you Metro, tram and bus services as well as free or discounted entry into museums, We really abused it and for the 5 day (125E) pass, we got entry into loads of places that had a face value of over 185E, so saved 60E and got free transport! Win-Win

Researched the card before set off from home and decided could get our money’s worth over a 72hr period. Card cost €100 and we calculated individual entry would’ve be circa €135 However, we did end up going into a couple of places just because they were included and we were nearby, but having said that we were glad we did (Tulip museum & Willet Holthuysen). Bear in mind quite a few sights require timed entry pre-booking and if there’s something on (like exhibition in Oude Kerk) you may, like us, find it’s fully booked for entire duration of your stay. The card doesn’t include Van Gogh museum or Anne Frank house - both of which were already fully booked anyway when I tried to advance book direct 10 days before arriving! If you know what you want to see and you’re pretty fixed about that then do a quick tally of entry fees v card cost. Benefit of card tho, it’s so easy to use, the app gives you links to booking pages and it can be nice to try something you didn’t initially care about doing.

I rarely ever buy the city tour cards because they are never worth the price for my family. However, this was the one city where I calculated what we wanted to do and this card was worth it. The amount of things we did and places we went using the card was great. You have to be prepared to be busy and make the most of it, but we were and it worked out. The app on your phone was also very helpful. A few times we were not able to pick up cell service and the app helped us figure out where we were going. You can also use the app to tell you what I AMSTERDAM attractions/participants are located near you so you make the most use of the card. We purchased it with the travel card, which was nice, but Amsterdam is such a walkable city that we did not really use the trams that much.
