5.00We were lucky enough to join Knut’s newly added 3:00pm walking tour of Tromsø, and it was fantastic! Knut is a local, born and raised here, and his passion for Tromsø shines through in every story he tells. As someone fascinated by Arctic explorers like Amundsen, Scott, and Byrd, I was thrilled by Knut’s deep knowledge of the city’s rich history, especially its ties to legendary expeditions. Even though we booked at the last minute, Knut made us feel welcome and delivered a tour packed with fascinating details and local color. If you get the chance to tour Tromsø with Knut, don’t hesitate – it was the highlight of our trip!

5.00I had a fantastic time in Tromso with Knut, the tour guide! Even though I later learned that his other customers for that day had to cancel due to an issue with their cruise, Knut was already at the meeting point 10 minutes early, just like me. Knut is a Tromso native, so I was lucky to enjoy what ended up being a private tour with someone who truly knows the city (which, I must say, is not the norm). He patiently answered all my questions, and as a curious Brazilian trying to imagine life in the Arctic, I had a lot of them! The visit to the Polar Museum was also great: interesting, and not at all creepy or shocking. I ended the tour feeling like I’d made a friend way up north, and I’m now even more excited to return to Tromso in the winter to see the aurora borealis.
