Peter was an incredible musher and guide during our glacier dogsledding tour. From the moment we arrived at the Herbert Glacier camp, he and the team at Alaska Icefield Expeditions made us feel totally welcome and excited for the experience. I had so many questions about the dogs, the sled, the glacier, the weather and Peter answered every single one with patience and enthusiasm. He is very knowledgeable, and it's obvious how much he cares about the dogs and what he does. Getting to learn from someone so passionate made the whole thing even more special. Huge thanks to Peter for making it such an unforgettable adventure!

The people were great. It is more of a sample of dogsledding and worth the entire trip. These dogs love to run and are so friendly.

We had a great overall experience. Communication beforehand was clear and professional, and everything went smoothly with pickup and logistics. The helicopter ride itself was a highlight, absolutely stunning views and an exciting flight that set the tone for the adventure. The dogsledding portion was definitely special, especially being on real snow, but it was shorter than expected, just one loop around the camp with several breaks. There was also quite a bit of downtime at the camp while waiting for the return flight. That said, this option was definitely the better choice compared to the in town dog sled experience without snow. The scenery and authenticity made it worth it. I just wish the sledding portion had been longer to match the rest of the adventure.
