Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas Day cooking class! AMAZING class! We will try a cooking class whenever we travel and this is definitely one of the best. The chef is personable and knowledgeable. Everyone participates, and the food turned out fantastic. We’ve been making sushi rolls for years and We all learned a lot from this class particularly what makes quality nigiri. Thanks for a great meal and the entertaining education!

Sensei (teacher) was very engaging and entertaining. The whole experience was aided by a translation software which added to the humor of the conversation. The dishes that he taught were basic but were still noteworthy. It's a true immersion into Japanese food without feeling overwhelmed or challenged. There was also a good immersion into the history, the background, and the practices behind the cuisine. One of the best experiences you can do while in Japan.

We had a fabulous time cooking with Chef Seiji! Our family of four very much enjoyed learning about Japanese cooking, preparing the dishes with Chef Seiji’s guidance and eating the dishes at the end of the class. Chef Seiji was an excellent instructor - calm and patient with children and adults, with a great sense of humour. The AI translation app he uses is excellent - quick and accurate translations kept the lesson and the conversation flowing. The lesson was excellent value for money. The cooking school is conveniently located a few minute's walk from Kanazawa station. We would absolutely recommend this class to anyone. If we make another trip to Kanazawa we will do another class here… Chef Seiji is starting a ramen and gyoza class next year.

Excellent evening. Entertaining and educational. Learnt a lot about what makes good sushi, cooking techniques, and eating traditions. Clever use of technology to communicate in 3 different languages at once. Husband had to cancel last minute as unwell but he loves his small gift and uses it all the time. Knives from here are very special.

We have just returned from our cooking experience with Seiji and Azumi. I booked this for our family of 5 ranging from age 62 to 17. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Seiji is a comical host who made the experience a lot of fun. We really enjoyed learning how to cook Japanese style and would highly recommend.

A really wonderful time. The host is very funny and engaging, the instructions were easy to understand, and you'll be actively learning & cooking the whole time. Some cooking classes are just tourist traps but not this one. I enjoy cooking as a hobby so I wasn't sure whether I'd learn anything new here, but I definitely did. You make several different dishes in this class, and many of them use techniques that are hard to grasp just by watching a Youtube video, requiring sound/smell/touch/etc cues that can only really be understood by experiencing them in person. You get to try out high-end knives in the class (that you can purchase if you enjoy the feel of them) and you even get a fun cooking certificate to take home! It was the highlight of our day and I'd recommend it to anyone.
