The day starts with being picked up by our guide from one of several designated locations in Stavanger. The drive takes 2h and 30 minutes, passing by scenic landscape along the way. After the long drive, we arrive at the start of the trail (where restrooms are available). Here the guide will provide information about the trail, expected conditions, and useful tips for good hiking. When everyone is ready, the hike begins. The pace allows for time to adjust clothes and equipment, time to rest and enjoy snacks, and for taking pictures along the way. After approximately 3 hours of hiking, we will arrive at Kjeragbolten, the Kjerag Boulder. For those who dare (if conditions allow), one can stand atop the Boulder, which hangs a heart-stopping 984 meters above the fjord. After we have enjoyed the scenery, relaxed, and enjoyed a quick lunch, we head back down. It normally takes about 3 hours to get back down to the parking area. Exhausted but satisfied, we get back in the car. As we get driven back to Stavanger, we process our experience of a day well spent.

Extraordinary satisfied. We did the Kjerag hike today. The connectivity and the promptness with the company was amazing. Grateful for starting the tour at 7AM instead of 5AM ( it allowed us to have breakfast at the hotel AND be awake during the drive, allowing us to enjoy the scenery!! The provided lunches were very tasty and plentiful. The guide, Cristian, was Absolutely amazing!!!!! No superlatives can fully describe this incredible individual!! Professional, extremely kind and very attentive, VERY knowledgeable of the trail. He walked with us every step of the trail, and especially during the last 1-1.5 hours of the hike when it was raining a lot and the trail was very slippery!!!! We really feel that we lucked out during this hike with him!!! Grateful for the experience!!! Terry and Michael.
