Have you ever been to the waterfalls of Korouoma in winter? Have you ever seen the frozen faerie of the bluish and yellowish ice forms between the fearsome rocks in the tunnel of lacy snowy trees? It’s a must! Just join us to the Nature Reserve of Korouoma.

The guide will drive East of the Lapland. The road leading towards Korouoma itself is a very scenic landscape trip. And during the hike you'll witness something which you have only imagined or saw in fantasy "A complete Winter Wonderland".

What To Expect

Korouoma

The Korouoma Canyon in Lapland is a reserved area with 14 waterfalls, but if you join us for a one-day hiking trip, you will have the chance to see the biggest three and several small ones. After about 100 km drive from Rovaniemi our guide will introduce us to the beauty of the pristine Taiga forest and the meanders of the river Korojoki at the Korouoma valley. The difficulty of the trail is easy, but you should be in good physical condition. There are a lot of resting places along the way and beautiful viewpoints to take photos and videos. At the bottom of the canyon by one of the lavvu(shelter) we will set fire to cook the local makara sausages and enjoy the bonfire.

Simply magical!! I had an amazing time hiking in Korouoma with Kris! He’s an exceptional guide who ensures everything is well-organized and never rushes the experience. Kris allows you to fully immerse yourself in the stunning surroundings and truly enjoy every moment. Korouoma is breathtaking, especially in winter—you simply have to see it during this magical season.
