Discover the perfect blend of history and nature on a one-day tour of Kyoto. This itinerary is perfect for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. We begin with the magnificent Amanohashidate, one of Japan's "Three Scenic Views," renowned for its unique sandbar resembling a bridge to the heavens, lined with lush pine trees. The sandbar's shape is like a bridge slanting upward into the sky, hence the name "Amanohashidate." You can take a cable car to the top for a panoramic view of this natural wonder. Next, we head to Ine Village, often referred to as the "Venice of Japan," where the unique waterfront funaya houses and tranquil natural scenery captivate visitors. In Ine, you can enjoy a boat ride under the clear blue sky, feed seagulls, or rent a bike to explore the charming village at your own pace, experiencing the authentic rural atmosphere.

Amanohashidate
Meeting time and point: 8:40am at Osaka 9:50am at Kyoto Our journey begins with a comfortable ride to Amanohashidate, one of Japan's top three scenic views. This stunning 3.6 km sandbar is adorned with 8,000 pine trees and surrounded by the serene Japan Sea and Amanohashidate Bay. The name “Amanohashidate” means Heaven's Bridge, and you'll see why as you take in the breathtaking landscape. Don't miss the chance to ride the cable car up Mt. Monju for a spectacular view from the observation deck (optional, cost 1000JPY). From here, Amanohashidate looks like a dragon soaring into the sky, earning it the nickname “View of the Flying Dragon.” Perfect for a jaw-dropping photo op!
Chion-ji Temple

Overall great trip! Jay, our tour guide, was entertaining and helpful. My biggest gripe is that there wasn't enough time at Amanohashidate to do everything so if you want to do everything I would recommend going outside of this experience.

Great coach and funny touristguide. Trip from Kyoto took a bit more than two hours. Worth doing both chairlift both ways and lunch and swim at the beach. Also recommend sitting on top of the boat.

Excellent tour…. Long bus journey but worth it for the views and experiences. Bus picked us up on time and we got to see all that was listed on the tour highlights. Fred was an excellent tour guide and kept everyone informed about our experiences.
