Tours will begin in front of the Visitors Center, across the street from the Lexington Battle Green, at 1875 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington.

What To Expect
Lexington Green
On the one hour tour, you will explore the many notable sites surrounding this National Historic Landmark. It is considered consecrated ground, both for the blood shed on it and for the Minutemen who are interred here. Some highlights include: The iconic Henry H. Kitson Minuteman Statue The Revolutionary War Monument, a granite obelisk erected in 1799, where the remains of seven militiamen killed in the battle are buried. Captain John Parker monument inscribed with: “Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.” The Old Belfry, which sounded the alarm on April 19, 1775, calling the militia to the common. The Old Burying Ground where Captain John Parker, ministers John Hancock and Jonas Clarke, and an unknown British soldier are buried.

5.00Very informative and the guide moved at a very relaxed pace so questions from the participants could be taken. Also the guide held up the start as we were delayed by traffic on rte 2. The total group on the tour was only 5 so the pace of the tour was good and the chances tot raise questions and have them be answered was good.

5.00We enjoyed our tour of the Lexington battle site. Our tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable. We got to see the exact spot where the militia stood during the battle. Hearing stories of the individuals that took part in the battle really made the past come alive. Buckman's Tavern is directly in site and we found ourselves in there after the conclusion of our tour. There is a Lexington visitor center on site and has souvenirs, bathrooms, and general information about the park. Any history enthusiast should make the trip at least once to see where it all started!!!

5.00I may not be a history buff, but Laurie really drew me in. Very animated, knowledgeable, and engaging. Laurie made history fun! Even walking through Ye Old Cemetary was interesting. Laurie even played her fife for us!! If you have the chance, take her tour. You won't regret it.

5.00Laurie was the most amazing tour guide. She was so knowledgeable and showed a true love for what she was talking about. The path was very easy to walk and has lots of benches for those who can’t stand the whole time. Laurie was so personable and easy to talk to would definitely recommend.
