Very good arrangement, totally worth it. Our tour guides Jessica and Robert were so professional and nice. Would recommend going on days that are close to a new moon day so that the stargazing would be even better.

What a fantastic adventure. After traversing the 13,900 foot Mauna Kea, you are treated with a spectacular sunset. You literally feel like you are on top of the world! After the amazing sunset you make. your way a bit down the volcano for stargazing. Being from Southern California, you forget what a nighttime sky can look like. We saw multiple shooting stars and we were lucky enough to be there on May 1st, to see Kilauea erupt in the distance.. WOW, what a spectacular night. Speaking of stars, that would describe our husband and wife tour guides Rob and Jessica. Friendly personalities is an understatement, but their knowledge and passion was even more impressive. Both had amazing information of all things volcano and I think Rob might actually be an Astronomer, or so it seemed with his knowledge. With a clear love of what they do, you could see they didn't want the evening to end as much as us. It is a long adventure and some snacks are provided but I recommend bringing a light dinner. This tour was definitely worth the time and I recommend it highly to anyone visiting the Big Island.

Tay and Zaxh were fantastic. They knew their stuff. The sunset was beautiful and so was the stargazing. I would say my only complaint is it started getting pretty cold and thy probably should have ended thr stargazing about 15 min before they did. It was freezing. The coats that are provided do keep you warm but my feet were so cold. Overall, great experience. Be prepared for about a 7 hours of fun.
