Disappointing experience – not as advertised

1.00We were told that the tour would be in a Mercedes minibus, but instead it was a large bus without any services. The driver was also the guide, and the explanations were given quickly outside the bus with no proper audio system. The speaker quality was so poor that we could not hear anything inside the bus. Overall, the experience did not match the description, and I was very disappointed. I do not recommend this tour.

5.00It is a long drive. Toilet stops are important. While we (both aged 77) thoroughly enjoyed the drive, towns we went thru, countryside farms animals etc and lovely gardens. I don’t think that was the case for all passengers. Driver was amazing, he was thoughtful and informative.

5.00We went on the Great Ocean Road tour and visited the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and all the main viewpoints and attractions – every stop was absolutely stunning. A huge shoutout to our tour guide William, who was enthusiastic, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the journey. He even showed us wild kangaroos and koalas, which made the day extra special. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and definitely a must-visit!

5.00I just experienced the Great Ocean Road tour with William, and it was fantastic. Before booking, I read a lot of reviews and, honestly, I was a little nervous coming from the U.S. because some people mentioned bad driving and other negatives. After today, I can confidently say I had an excellent experience and only positive things to share. The Great Ocean Road is not an easy drive. It winds along cliffs, full of tight turns and curves, and stretches on for hours. To navigate that while being responsible for a bus full of people is a huge responsibility, and William handled it flawlessly. If anyone thinks they could do better, I’d challenge them to try! The sights were incredible. We saw three koalas and a field with at least 15–20 kangaroos, including mothers with their babies — such a rare and memorable experience. So before you let the negative reviews put you off, give William a chance. I came all the way from Dallas, Texas, and I’m so glad I did. While I probably wouldn’t do the tour again myself just because it’s a very long day, I’ll definitely be recommending it to my friends and passing along William’s information. Thank you, William, for a wonderful day and a five-star experience.
