  Wonderful tour with our guide Ioanna! We experienced the history of Knossos with expert information on the history of the temple and so much information on the area and Greek mythology linked to Knossos. Our driver and guide were excellent and showed us a lot in our tour. I would highly recommend this tour! The winery was excellent with organic wine tasting, I picked up a cople of bottles, and enjoyed later on our trip.

  The private tour is totally worth it. The guide and driver were both awesome. The guide gave us a great history lesson. She took time to explain everything and gave us ample time to absorb all the data. What an awesome day. Highly recommended

  This was a fabulous tour. The beauty of the scenery and the historical perspective on the pre Minoan and Minoan civilization was perfect. Our guide for the day was Elissavet. She is a treasure. Her in-depth knowledge of the history of Crete, along with her passion for all things Cretan, made her the perfect guide. This was our first tour of Crete . Elissavet shared her love of Crete with us, and we quickly bonded over Olive oil, Cretan wine , honey, and the Minoan civilization. Knossos Palace was a delight as you could see what remains of the greatest Palace of the Bronze Age. It is a complex so vast and spectacular that it was relegated to myth. Thank uou having us such a wonderful memory of Crete.

  We had the most amazing time on this tour. It exceeded our expectations. Our guides were friendly and so knowledgeable- not only about history but also local culture. Each stop had rich history, the sites were busy but not overly crowded like some other historical places. Knossos palace was beautiful, the wine tour was amazing, such a beautiful location, lunch at a local restaurant was delicious and the museum was full of history and myth! I would recommend this tour to anyone with a group, big or small, the hospitality can’t be beat.

  We really enjoyed the visit to the palace at Knossos and the archaeological museum. Our guide Marinella did an amazing job setting the context and presenting the history of the Minoans. At the museum in particular, she brought us to see all the key artefacts, giving us the context and explaining their significance. We especially enjoyed observing all the little details she pointed out to us, which gave us a much better appreciation of the historical and cultural importance of the exhibits. In between stops, she also kept us entertained with anecdotes of daily life in Crete, and wove together folklore and mythology and how it influenced their culture today. We really enjoyed the tour, which gave us a better understanding of Minoan Crete.

  A terrific experience start to finish with a friendly guide (Alex) and a knowledgable specialist at the museum and Knossos (Katerina). The countryside was a revelation and the drive to and from the winery was beautiful. the winery (Ayrakis) was in a stunning location and we enjoyed learning about the grape varieties and discussing the wine as we sampled it. I would highly recommend this tour and the tour company. Enquiries were swiftly dealt with (thank you Ioannis) and the whole experience was made easy. As we left the QM2 the driver was waiting with a name board. He was an informative and good driver! We went off the beaten track and returned exactly on time.

  We got off a cruise ship and had a guide (also our driver) expertly guide us to the front of the line of the antiquities museum (before the buses), who expertly explained the mythology and history of Knossos. Andreas also helped us recognize how skilled the artisans were as well as the relative advanced technology they were using. The museum definitely helped us put the ruins in context and I would very much suggest doing that first. Andreas then walked us through the ruins of Knossos, and let me shop at the touristy shops across the way (there is a family that makes ceramics and is legit art). We then wanted to go to a winery while avoiding the bus tourists, and Andreas called around and got us to Titakis. I didn’t know Crete had good wine and THEY DO. We were the only people at the winery and we were spoiled with attention and tastings. Bring bottle protectors for your luggage because you’re going to buy some wine. We then went to a small bistro for lunch outside of Herkalion and EVERYTHING was amazing. One of the best excursions from our cruise ship for sure. Definitely leaps and bounds above any bus tour.

  Our overall experience with this provider can only be described as absolutely great: everyone is very friendly and the transport to the various stops is done in what can actually be described as a luxurious Mercedes-Sprinter. We booked the classic tour Zeus-Hölle + Knossos and had thought in advance to complete the stops on our own with a rental car. At the end of this day, however, we can clearly say that – despite info boards and Wikipedia – we would have missed so much if we had not had a guide on site. In our case, we were fortunate to have the great nectar as host, which can draw from an almost immeasurable pool of knowledge and thus make every visit an absolute experience: whether a blazing plea for Europe in an ancient church or supposed achievements of the modern era explained by ancient finds in the archaeological sites. Here you can feel that no program is being unwound, but a vocation is being exercised with passion. Always happy again. Price quality ratio absolutely fine. Thanks, Nectar.
