It is one of the most popular hikes and is definitely a must do. Good trekking boots is a must especially during the descend, because the trail is quite slippery due to the loose small rocks that cover the path. Trekking poles are highly recommended as well. We were provided with a bamboo stick although expected the trekking poles as mentioned in the tour notes. I guess it's definitely better than nothing. It was a bit chilly on the top of the mountain, so warm and wind proof clothes is highly recommended. The guide didn't narrate or explain much, but was always around to assist. The stop at the hot springs was definitely a highlight. We were also pleasantly surprised with a stop at a coffee plantation with tea/coffee degustation. All in all - quite a good experience.

The hike to the summit of Mt Batur was a little challenging but so worth it for the amazing views. Our guide Wira was really accommodating and made it a very pleasant exprmerience. Intan, our driver, also made the whole tour wonderful.

We had the best morning!! Such a special experience, and doing it with a private guide was such a great choice as we could hike at our own pace. Yus our guide was great, as was Intan the driver. Worth the 2.30am start!

We got picked up perfectly on time at our place. Then we arrived at mt batur and we met our guide Nick. He was a very fun person with good energy. Asked us to take a break if needed it a lot. Once we got to the top we got to wait and enjoy the most amazing views. And we also got dropped back at out place. It was one of the best experienced ive ever had. For sure recommend it.

The guide was really good, views were amazing. A must see if you are in Bali. The hike is pretty easy as well, especially if you’ve done some hiking before. And don’t miss out on the hot springs. Better if you leave from Ubud than Canggu like us as travel time back is long.
