Pilatus Luzern

In Lucerne, your guide will escort you to the Pilatus Bahn and begin your ascent to Mt. Pilatus. We'll make a little stop at Fraukmuntegg, where you will admire the beginning of the Swiss Alps and the cantons that formed the Swiss Confederation in 1291. Then, you will board the iconic “dragon ride” aerial cable car, where we will float in a giant glass cabin. The windowed walls provide 360 views of the Lucerne region, and many compare it to the experience of flying. Wonderful views, close to Lucerne with easy walking to take the gondola and cable car to the top, then down on the cog railway to the lake. Much to do at the top including food and various short walks.

We had a private tour with six friends. Rose met us at our hotel right on time and spent six hours with us on boats, cog wheel trains, cable cars and buses. It was the best tour we had all week and she was excellent in directions and history

Santiago was a great guide. Even though our Mt. Pilatus portion was shrouded in snow and mist, hearing about the culture and history was a wonderful experience. The cruise on Lake Lucerne was smooth and beautiful. Thanks for a great day!
