Excellent tour. Claire was very knowledgeable about the Impressionist period works and painters. She led us through the lead up to Impressionism, also giving us history in France during the time period.

We had the most wonderful tour guide! I can’t remember his name, but he was born in Cuba and then lived in Miami before moving to France to earn his degree in French history. He was truly a story teller, which brought alive the art history for my 22 year old son, 24 year old daughter, husband and myself! Having him navigate the museum made our visit so relaxing. We didn’t have to struggle with a map trying to figure out where to go. We ended in Van Gogh with tears in our eyes from our guide’s very moving stories about Van Gogh and his devoted brother, Theo! Highly recommended tour!

Great guide with a wonderful ability to combine history, enthusiasm for art, and a sense of humor all at once! You need a guide to give you an overall history of what you are looking at and guide you through the museum so that at the end of the tour you can continue on your own or go have a lovely lunch at the cafe.
