As an experienced traveler (40+ countries), this Ohrid tour was an absolute disaster. Key issues: Last-minute schedule change (missed breakfast), failure to visit advertised attractions (fortress closed, dangerous church route), reckless disregard for safety (no lunch in 30C+ heat until a friend nearly collapsed), chronic vehicle breakdowns (van overheating, massive delays), zero guiding/commentary, and dropped off 4 hours late with no communication. This tour was unsafe, poorly executed, and offered no value.

The tour was okay, but there’s definitely room for improvement. One major issue was the logistics - picking up each participant from their hotel significantly reduced the time we had to actually enjoy the destination. Although I got in the car around 7 a.m., we didn’t arrive in Ohrid until after 1 p.m., turning what should’ve been a 2-ish hour drive into a 6-hour journey. As a result, our time at the lake felt rushed. Instead of getting the chance to relax or even go on a boat ride, we just walked by before heading back. It felt like we missed out on the main experience. The guide was friendly, which I appreciated, but it was clear they were relatively inexperienced - especially with the location.

It was a very good experience getting to know Ohrid from a very personal perspective. Maybe in the future more time will be needed to see more of the community. All in all it was a truly nice experience
