What To Expect
Skanderbeg Square
Walking visit of Skanderbeg Square, a unique pyramid shaped design, with stone plaques and a vegetation perimeter, all collected from every corner of Albania symbolizing people’s unity. From here our guide will describe to you the history of this monumental square, and all the historical buildings that surround it, Albanian National Museum of History, Opera house, Central Bank, Et’hem Bey Mosque, Clock Tower, Tirana Municipality and other government buildings.
Xhamia Et'hem Bej
Visit Et'hem Bey Mosque (renovated in 2021), one of the oldest mosques in Albania, and the oldest in Tirana. Inside, you will be able to enjoy the preserved architecture and beautiful wall paintings. This mosque allows women. Women must dress clothes with sleeves.

5.00Gerti was our guide for a most interesting and enjoyable walking tour of the major sites in the centre of Tirana. He was very affable and knowledgeable, especially with his insight to life during the communist period in Albania. The walking tour was at a gentle pace with frequent stops whilst Gerti explained the history connected to the sites. The tour which lasted for around 2.5 hours, combined with the wonderful company of Gerti, was greatly appreciated by our party of three.
