What's better than a cooking class to learn how to prepare Sicilian Pizza and Cannoli just a few steps from the Sea of Taormina and Naxos?
Together with the "Family Siciliano" you will learn to use fresh and local ingredients, which enhance the flavor of each dish, and make Italy and Sicily famous throughout the world.
With Chef Mimmo you will learn the art of preparing Pizza and typical "Bruschetta" with local products: Pachino cherry tomatoes, basil, oregano and olive oil.
With the father Siciliano, a great local pastry Chef, you will create the famous Cannoli, learning the secrets of preparing the perfect wafer and cream that make Cannoli the most famous Sicilian dessert in the world.
Furthermore, you will learn how to make "Angel Wings", typical traditional sweets which in Sicilian are called "Chiacchiere", and which are popular sweets of the Carnival period.
And then everyone to the table, facing the Mediterranean Sea, to enjoy your creations accompanied by a tasting of Limoncello.

Appointment in Taormina, Piazza San Antonio Abate (Arch of “Porta Catania”) at 06:00 pm. Transfer to the sea (included in the price), to "Ahoy Bistró Siciliano". Together with Chef Mimmo you will prepare the dough for the Pizza and the wholemeal flour dough for the bread. While waiting for the Pizza dough to rise, you will have fun preparing the typical "Sicilian Bruschette". With the father Siciliano, a great local pastry Chef, you will learn the art of preparing Cannolo, the typical Sicilian dessert. You will learn how to prepare the crispy wafer, kneading with your hands and frying the dough in the particular shape. You will also learn how to prepare the traditional cream to fill the Cannoli. When the Pizza dough has risen, you will roll out the dough, choose the toppings and personally bake the Pizza in the oven. In addition to Pizza and Cannoli, the pastry Chef will teach you how to make the typical "Angel Wings" biscuits which in Sicily are called "Chiacchiere" and which are popular of the Carnival period. And then you can sit with the view of the Mediterranean Sea, enjoying your Sicilian Pizza and Cannolo creations with a glass of Limoncello to make your holiday original and unforgettable. At the end customers will be taken back to the center of Taormina.

My partner and I booked the pizza and cannoli cooking class and it was worth every penny. Mimmo was a wonderful teacher and made the whole event a blast. Its a family run restaurant and they were very giving and treated us well. Can not reccomend this class enough. Thanks Mimmo.

Really fun evening. Went as a couple. There were 7 other people from 2 families. Very well organised. We were met in the centre of Toarmina and transferred to the family restaurant in Giardini Naxos where Mimmo and his family were waiting. Free flowing white wine with bruschetta to start and then we made the cannoli and pizza under the expert guidance from Mimmo and his mother. Pizza was delicious and we learnt lots of tips from Mimmo. Limoncello to finish with our cannoli. Tried one cannoli but packaged up the other 3 to take back to the hotel as we were pretty full! Included a transfer back at 9pm. Great value. Highly recommend. Mimmo messaged the recipes and some others too as soon as we were back at the hotel.

Had a blast making pizza and cannoli at a lovely restaurant by the sea. They took care of everything! We met in Taormina and they brought us to the restaurant via vans, it was so easy. Once we arrived we were treated to white wine, bruschetta and conversation with our fellow students. Then we watched Mamma demonstrate how to prepare the cannoli dough, she helped us along at each step. Then we started on pizza, Chef showed us proper technique and we followed along with support! We added our toppings and into the oven they went. We had samples of pizza and fried treats along the way! Finally, the pizzas came out and we all sat down to eat! We enjoyed more wine, our pizzas, cannoli and some lemon sorbet to end the evening. Transportation was provided back to the meeting spot in Taormina! We had a blast, everyone was so nice and so easy! Would certainly recommend to anyone traveling in the area.

This was such a fun and informative class! The instructor was amazing and the group attending were great! We started by being served wine and bruschetta to get to know each other. Then moved on to making cannoli. We rolled and made the cannoli shells, fried them, filled them and set the aside to eat later. Then on to pizza. We were provided with the dough, worked it into a pizza, added toppings and got it ready for the wood fired oven. We sat down to eat everything we made, with more wine! Everything turned out so delicious! We were provided with all the recipes we made plus a lot more! I highly recommend this class!
