What To Expect
A day filled with the aroma of coffee will be our reward as we visit the largest coffee plantation in Costa Rica, known as the Hacienda Doka estate, located on the slopes of the Poas Volcano. Visiting this Doka coffee plantation will allow you to learn everything about the process and good practices related to this crop, as well as on our tour of the coffee farm we will observe its machinery and discover the step by step of seed germination for the first cultivation of the plants, the development process of the plant and up to the point of harvesting the mature grain, we will also learn about the history of the farm, the production and varieties of coffee plants, the geography of the area and the traditional way of cultivating the coffee bean, it is very important to note that being in the natural and cultural environment of this coffee plantation will make you want to enjoy an exquisite cup of coffee while having an exquisite typical Costa Rican breakfast.
Poas Volcano National Park
We will go to the beautiful POAS VOLCANO, whose main attraction is that it can be accessed to the edge of it. Not only does it have one of the largest craters in the world, but it is located in the mountainous forests of the Central Volcanic Mountain Range and we will be able to learn from the gas emanations, ecosystem and vegetation. On the way to the Volcano you will be able to notice its different microclimates and the great diversity of agriculture, we will be able to observe a great variety of plantations and cattle farms at the same time that we will have a spectacular view of the Central Valley. And the lagoon of its crater will leave us in love with the desire to return. The complete stay in the Poas Volcano National Park will be approximately 50 minutes which are distributed in: 10 minutes in the initial talk, and information, 10 minutes walk to the viewpoint of the Volcano crater, 20 minutes of fixed permanence in the viewpoint and another 10 minutes on the way back to the transport parking lot.

5.00Fantastic experience, the tour was wide, the times were exact and the intermediate activities (like stopping to buy souvenirs) did not affect the pace. The guide was attentive and communicative throughout and made the tour very enjoyable from start to finish. On the other hand, they are very unresponsive by whatsapp, I asked them some questions and they did not answer, that caused me insecurity since I could not contact the Enterprise.

5.00Amazing tour! Our guide (Mario) was great- very knowledgeable, with a good sense of humor- he made sure we're having a great time. The three main attractions (Volcan Poás, Doka Coffee tour, and the Peace Waterfall) were absolutely breathtaking. In addition to the breakfast and lunch provided, we got some very yummy treats throughout the tour. This was an absolute highlight of our trip. Thank you, Mario! Highly Recommended!

1.00Currently driving back from Paos volcano with Mario. He is driving and watching a music video with a customer sitting in passenger seat during rush hour traffic in San Jose. Very dangerous situation. Passenger is also blaring Latin music from her phone and dancing in her seat. Only 4 people on this trip, 2 women from Columbia and my wife and I from the US. 80% of conversation was in Spanish, no discussion of Costa Rica culture , history or description of sites. Spent more time in souvenir shop that wasn’t on schedule than we did at coffee tour. My wife and I were basically ignored on this trip Don’t recommend Marbella and especially Mario.
Our guide made this trip the best experience ever! If we ever go on another trip here it will be with him for sure! He represent

1.00Crook company! They told me. They were going to give me a full refund. Since the volcano was closed! They never reach back out to me. I had to reach out to them. To see what the deal was with my refund. I got the screenshot of all the previous messages saying they would! I wouldn’t recommend nobody dealing with this crook of a company! Bad business

1.00Terrible! Terrible tour company. No communication whatsoever. I messaged them and emailed them days before the trip to confirm the pick up time. Nothing. No contact back. Then they have the nerve to cancel the tour at the very last minute overnight. Very unprofessional and would not recommend booking with this company. Especially when there are many other companies who do the exact same thing. Would give 0 stars if I could. Terrible tour company.
