What To Expect
Puntarenas
We will travel from San José to Puntarenas where we will board our boat to visit Tortuga Island.
Puntarenas
We will do a dolphin watching during the tour and you will also be able to observe the islands that make up the Gulf of Nicoya while we travel to Isla Tortuga.

Duration: 14 hours: This tour can last from +12 or +14 hours, depending on traffic on route. You will be back between 7-8 pm.

Marine Species Sightings: It is possible to see animals such as dolphins, turtles and monkeys during the tour.

5.00Comfortable ride to coast- stopped for breakfast with lots of choices as well as a place to get souvenirs. Places to change into suit at dock. Stopped boat to see dolphins and whales. Water was murky during snorkeling but fish surrounded us since they feed them on occasion. Island was beautiful! Other groups arrive but enough room for everyone. Lunch was delicious and had vegetarian option! Did the nature hike- pretty easy with beautiful overlooks! Mamo guide was warm and friendly and we lucked out with a very small group. Weather was sunny off coast when rainy inland. Fabulous day!

5.00The tour was great, Nela was our guide, she was cool and funny made the trip comfortable. The breakfast place was great. On the boat we managed to see dolphins and a whale from a far (we went beginning of October). We got lucky and did some snorkling :), then we spent time at the beach which was quite busy with people but it's a lovely sandy beach, some wild pigs might come out for a bit.
Beautiful view of the land. The snorkel was so much fun- many fishes. Get to taste traditional food. Beach was fun.

5.00The tour guide was very kind. The ride to the boat was good because you get to see the land. You get to taste the traditional food. Snorkel -so many fishes it was amazing to see the different colors and sizes. The beach was peaceful and calm water the day I went. The ride back was quick, fell asleep from all the activities. Worth the excursion. Definitely book.

5.00The boat ride was bumpy at first but the crew sorted it out and made sure everyone was safe and everyone had a good time. It rained all day when I went and the water was a bit murky but snorkeling was successful for some and we still enjoyed the beach in the rain lol. Just come with a positive attitude

4.00The ride from San Jose to the boat is pretty. Boat ride is nice. Beach is ok. Snorkeling ok. We seen some cool fish but because of the time of year, water cloudy. We did not have turquoise water due to the rainy season. Lunch was good. Alcohol drinks expensive but you are on the beach so it is expected. We did see 4 dolphins on our way back.

4.00Very good tour to occupy a day! Comfortable bus but with air conditioning very cold and the driver can not change. Guide Nela very good despite being always giving orders so that everything is faster. The beach is very good despite being with some garbage brought by the sea Snorkeling is nothing special, the water was pretty muddy The lunch was great.
