the guides were all incredibly kind and helpful. the trip was lovely. The boat ride was fun, we even spotted some spider monkeys hanging out in the island. The beach is magical. Highly recommend!

Tour guide (Nell/Marinella) was great and communicated the time for each event. We saw dolphins on the boat ride and many fish and starfish while snorkeling! Part of the beach/water is a little rocky so I recommend wearing water shoes. The boat ride back was its own adventure! (High waves)

Overall, the trip to Tortuga island as a concept is good. The boat ride, the snorkeling, and the beach are all a good idea. The concept fails however when the tour guide sexually harasses the members of the group. Our guide, G, was extremely unprofessional throughout the entire trip, but especially at four key moments. 1. While riding the boat to the island, he played a bad bunny song. My friends and I are primarily English speaking so we just nodded our head along to the song. He turned to my female friend and asked if we knew the words to which she said no. He then translated one lyric which was “i want to suck your p*ssy” and then he said “I bet you’d like that.” That is horrifically unacceptable and in the United States would result in a lawsuit. 2. During the boat ride back, a passenger on the ship severely injured their hand when the captain closed the roof while she was holding it. Rather than working to help clean the wound, he was making jokes on Spanish to the passengers at the front of the boat. Imagine having a bleeding hand, while your tour guide is cracking jokes. Horrible. 3. When we stopped for breakfast (which somehow isn’t included despite the trip being $130) our friend was in the bathroom at the scheduled departure time and came out two minutes late. G told us that he would have left us behind if he had to wait another two minutes. Later in the trip we were delayed by 2 HOURS because the boat engine wasn’t working to which afterwards G took plenty of time to shower before getting on the bus. 4. G got dropped off from the bus before our group, leaving us alone with the bus driver who unfortunately couldn’t speak English. We ended up getting dropped off at a highway overpass 20 minutes from our hotel by walking instead of at our hotel entrance. Honestly, I can’t recommend this company to anyone who is a woman, anyone who expects a timely trip, and anyone who wants comfort. It’s bad for everyone as long as G is still working.

If you are looking for a ride to spend some time on a rocky beach then this meets the mark. Wear water shoes. The beach has lounges that you have to pay for. The eco walk not worth the money, especially if you arrive early. All water activities are at an extra cost even the bathroom is $1. The food was pretty dry. The guides were nice but did not add anything special. Snorkeling was included and was pretty basic.
